So it's nearing the end and I really can't believe how quickly it's gone. I know time wise I've been pregnant for 10 months now but it didn't feel like almost a year. Between doctor’s appointments and wellness appointments and all the excitement from others, time just seemed to flow by. (Well except those first 3 months where I spent most days hallucinating!!).
I have my final doctors appointment this Friday and the doctors will probably make the appointment to have me committed...oops I mean admitted...to be induced on MONDAY. MONDAY, MONDAY, wow by this time next week I will be a mother? I don't think it's really hit home yet...not sure when it will...probably that first 2:00AM feeding I imagine!!
So of course yesterday I spent a good few hours on my favorite Two Peas website (or rather my encyclopedia from real live women’s stories) reading the good, the bad and ugly on getting induced, breaking water, and pitocin...and by the end of it I felt well informed.
I'm not scared just yet...just very excited that I'll finally get to see the little one wriggling around inside of me.
My bag is packed and sitting by the front door...the car seat is in place and C gets migraines every morning now...so I know my time is near.
It seems that most people picked the name Chloe as the favorite name so I will keep that in mind once I see the little one’s face in the hopes that it fits.
Well wish me luck, I’m off on a journey!

OMG is probably not the most complimentary response, but OMG!! Knowing your low tolerance for pain and anything else for that matter, I am so proud of you through this journey. Trust me, it only gets better from here!
ReplyDeleteThat is unbelieveable. I was looking at the picture of you and saw that little birth mark is in a whole different place now!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

ReplyDeleteHey there lady, I was just about to shoot you an email and ask if you'd "crossed over" into motherhood yet :-). But I see that is going to happen in the not too distant future. I'm so happy for you. Motherhood and even the birthing process is absolutely AMAZING! I tell ya, if I wasn't so darned old, I'd have another one...just for kicks and giggles :-). I LOVE being a mother. I'm not that good at it...but I love it nonetheless. Especially the baby phase (the shortest phase by far).
ReplyDeleteI pray all goes well with you and I can't wait to see those first pictures of your little blessing. Get some rest NOW!!!!!!!!!!!! :-)
