Two double oh eight

It's finally here isn't it, and unlike other years nothing feels different at all. I think it's a good thing as it gives me more time to reflect on the past, present and future.

I told myself I wouldn't do the whole new years resolution thing but I have a list in my head so I guess I lied to myself.

1. I promised myself I would be less sarcastic to Big C
2. I will cook Sunday dinner all the time
3. I will exercise every day no matter for how short or long of a time,
4. I will be true to my feelings.

So far I've been 1 for 1 on the cooking Sunday dinner! (So who was quick enough to figure out that we've only had 1 Sunday in the year thus far!)

I started running on the treadmill yesterday and today for 20 minutes each time.

Less sarcasm will always be a work in progress!

And being true to my feelings for me means doing what my heart says as opposed to my head. If I want to send a gift to someone knowing they might not call to say thank you, or even call to let me know they received it, then JUST DO IT!

Those where the only items that I had lingering in my head.....

On a side note, with the advent of so many social networking sites I've come back in contact with so many lost friends. And as we reminisce it's amazing that we've been friends for so long no matter how infrequent the communication was. It makes me feel good to know that my life has been blessed with so many rich experiences year after year after year.

I have my college experiences that have fostered friendships that have now lasted way over 10 years. I can't believe I'm still in contact with my "sister" Kimo who was my RD when I started my freshman year! Back then I didn't have a clue what an RD was and now look we don't go a week without speaking to one another. It's her birthday today and for some reason that brings a tear to my eye, just knowing all the obstacles that she's overcome. I've just started to reacquaint myself with Leslie who I was joined at the hip with in college and then due to miscommunication and probably god we fell apart but recently got back together to forge a new friendship.

I have my scrapbooking experiences that have allowed me to develop friends with people I've never even met! I have my Circle/UnPubbed buddies Chrissy, Corey, Jude, Kim, Melissa, Ronda, Carla. I've grown to know the small ins and outs of these girls and they inspire me more than words can describe.

I have old co workers that I never would have dreamed I would have got to know so well after so many years of NOT working together! I live to read Osvaldo's stories and realize life is there to be lived when I'm out with Rebecca. If it wasn't for instant messenger my old co workers would nothing short of a distant memory I'm sure. I don't know what I'd do without Aly and her lunch escapes to Jersey!

Ahhh then don't even get me started on blogging friends...Dawn has become like a long lost sister. She's been so sweet, so inspiring and so honest. It's so weird to have such a connection with someone you've never met. I'm almost scared TO meet her! And if it wasn't for Staci, I would even know my neighborhood had a local scrapbooking store with CROPS no less! Now, you know I'd been here all day if I listed all of the people I've become friends with via the blog world...but I want you to know I cherish every comment you've left and every word you've read, you've all opened my eyes to new experiences and memories.

Big C and I have also developed more friends in our social circle giving us more weekend memories which is so nice compared to sitting at home complaining that we have no life AND no friends!! LOL

Wow I think it would be correct to say that friends and family have really made my year and I can't wait to experience all the new memories for 2008.
