Colors of the rainbow

Today Baby C is wearing a burgundy top, tan pants, white socks with red and purple buttons hanging from them, and chocolate brown shoes with aqua flowers on them.....her father dressed her!

To me she looks like a homeless child and I wanted to change her so badly but Big C gets very annoyed when I ask him to dress her and then turn around and change her and rightfully so, but it sure was hard to walk out the door with her this morning.

When I got to day care I wanted to announce to everyone that I did not dress her this morning, but I didn't have the heart to do that to my child after she'd just asked me "Mommy am I a cutie pie today!".....yikes I just held my tongue rather than lie to her!

I don't even put that many colors on my Christmas tree let alone on my child, but I have to be grateful that I can even have a situation to laugh about, there are many others that don't!

Happy Monday!

  2. Oh dear, I cross this bridge from time to time so I feel your pain!
You did the right thing by not changing her though, hard as it may be.
I did put my foot down and bought her a t-shirt that says "Daddy did my hair" LOL

  3. It's a difficult one! My daughter gets around it by leaving the clothes out the night before so he gets no choice.

    Maybe he's colour blind. Bless!

  4. My son's wife left him and the family when the three chldren were four years, two years and 8 months. He dressed the children himself and we were so proud of his fantastic parenting, no one dared critic his color combinations. Now as the teenagers look at pictures of themselves they wonder what their dad was thinking. LOL Men just don't get it.

  6. It's ok just wait until he does her hair. Whitnee looked awful with 2 ponytails one day when Big A did her hair.

  7. ha! I always wonder how my dd would look if I had to go away for longer than a couple of days. Her clothes would be a mess and lets not even talk about how her hair would look, LOL!

With that face, though, know one probably even noticed what she was wearing!
