One mans trash is another mans........!!!!!!!!!

OK by now most of you think I'm a "hand me down", "dumpster diver", crazy old Brit!

But I'm honestly not...I just get really excited when I find something really cute, really practical and really inexpensive!!!

Anyway, now that I've salvaged my character....look what I found!!! I was on my way home Friday night and someone was throwing two of these little mini me people park benches out! How could I resist?????

It's as if they were made just for toddlers!! And we have the perfect position in our back yard for them, right in between two trees where the ivy grows!! I should have pulled back so as to show you the location of them between the trees but I wanted to show the bench and how mini me cute it is!!!

I think I'm close to making up for this stupid move a few weeks ago with those beautiful wood pieces of furniture.
Even my mother's started reading my blog now and said "How did you let those pieces go they don't make furniture like that any more!" ..."I know mother!".

  2. In the first pic it's like baby C is questioning, "Where did you say you found this...?"

And then, "Ohh...okay. Well, it's cute, so I'll smile."

LOL about the crazy old Brit and the furniture comment by your mom. SOOO something my mom would say!!

  3. Wow, what a great find. So cute!!!

Yeah, I was kinda sick about you leaving that beautiful piece of furniture behind a few weeks ago too.

Ok, so being that you DO happen upon some pretty nifty stuff...why did you make it sound IMPOSSIBLE to stumble upon 6 yards of fabric for me? LOL

I also want you to know I copied the Salmon recipe down and we are having that this week! It looked SOOOO good.

I hope your 2008 is starting off well and that this will be a joy filled year for all of you.

    Blessings!

    Hugs,

  5. Great bench! camport's suggested captions for Baby C are right on.

I call my home decor "Early Attic". I think I could also call my decorating style, "OMT" (One Man's Trash)

I believe you and I are quite frugal.

  6. Your Daughter look so cute, the bench was made for her. recycling is a British art form, we love the idea of reusing things, even though I have just recently become interested in the concept.
