Slowing down

It's raining and the natural cleansing of nature seems to force me to slow down, breath and look around. I'm sad that mommy left over a week ago now, it was nice having her around and the house took on a completely different aura. This time around I was able to enjoy her and watch her enjoy her granddaughter. But life has only just got back to normal and all the "To Do" lists have been scratched off and completed.

Work has also slowed down to a manageable rate I'm finally able to steal a minute to update, read and peruse at leisure my blog and others. Life can get so pent up with a speedy momentum, yet, I know I wouldn't have it any other way and I cherish the fact that I'm allowed to live it.

My new mac at work sits right in front of me serving as a mirror and it happily reminds me of how much I want to change my look but don't want to die trying. As much as I love living and what life has to offer right now, I still dislike looking in the mirror only to be confronted with what stares back at me. I want a happy co existence of self and life. The will to wake up at 5am to run on the treadmill, the ability to find a hair style that isn't high maintenance! But hey the circumstances of where I'm at and who I really am is too wonderful right now to even dwell that deep and potentially spoil the moment. I think I just need to move the Mac to a new location and all will remain as it once was!

If you haven't guessed by now,..... though time permits me to finally update my blog, my array of topics are lacking and I feel I'm merely rambling....though I have several blitzes of interesting tidbits floating around in my head:

1. Did that man who sat in the toilet for 2 hours on JetBlue make up the story or is it real. And why didn't he go for more than 2 million. I heard that women who was turned away from getting on a plane because her skirt was too short asked for WAAAAAYY more money.

2. Talking of money and suing people. I am now a U.S. Citizen! I really shouldn't get bogged down with the intricacy's of U.S. law and suing people just this quickly.

3. My daughter is generation Z...it fathoms the mind what will be considered normal to her if generation y considers it nothing to "watch TV, surf the web, listen to music, and talk or text on their phones, often performing several of these things at the same time."

4. Can the dollar really get any weaker and can you believe there are places in the Village taking Euros as payment for items?

5. Why do I feel so old in accepting the fact that you can now exercise using a video console, did I hear that right?

6. I need to google toddlers who suck their food instead of chewing it! My daughter has taken to doing this when you give her something she that isn't french fries, chocolate or cookies! Go figure. It's driving me batty and the only thing that will stop her from sucking what's in her mouth is, if you put a french fry, chocolate or cookie in front of her!

7. Oh yeah one last thing, I'm going nuts over, I'm close to being addicted to an item from Costco called Mango Cashew Crunch. Big C is pre diabetic and it's making our already healthy life style even healthier so all I can do is thank god as opposed to asking him why did you give Big C diabetes. So in our quest for healthier alternatives and snacks we ran across Mrs. Mays Classic Crunches which are toooo die for good (except when you buy them from BJ's and you get saddled with 4 bags of the Almond Crunch which no one in our house seems to care for unless it's 2AM at which time you'd eat dust and swear it taste good!). So we went to Costco in the hopes they might have more flavors of Mrs. Mays and what did we find...."oh child please" we found a Mareblu Naturals Cranmango Cashew Crunch right along side Mrs. Mays ...and it had all the same "Gluten free, Wheat free, Dairy free, Cholesterol free, No added fats or oils, Vegan, Kosher, Preservative free (Yeah it really boasts that many!) AND ONLY 4 GRAMS OF SUGAR PER SERVING (though who eats a server these days in America, well Big C does when I make his lunch)" and once again the Cranmango Cashew Crunch is to die for! LOL (I've now learnt Mareblue Naturals and Mrs. Mays are owned by the same company hence the similarities)

Ok I'm done dumping factoids from my head.

We went to my uncles birthday party on Sunday, I usually shy away from going to functions on a Sunday but it was worth it in the end, and after two White Russians and one Bahama Mama you hardly know what day of the week it is anyway!. I usually try to get us all dressed in the same color or at least the same family of colors and at the very least stop us from clashing!!! I never really realized that people actually notice my attempts and I usually demand it merely, because the pictures come out better!!! LOL But this night we received so many comments on my labored efforts! But any how I was proud and pleased that a hand me down from Dawn prompted this evenings colors, the dress Dawn gave us was wayyy too big mostly noticeable in the sleeves (if you check out the pic to the right you'll only notice one hand the other one got lost!), but the length was perfect for the occasion, so Dawn a ONCE AGAIN...A BIG HUGE THANKS!

I am so happy your Mom was here for awhile and know you loved seeing her with Baby C. Precious memories.
You asked about a picture on my blog! The man in that photo, with Grace, is our son! Daniel is 26 now and came to us, from Korea, when he was 7. He is a wonderful son and has been a super big brother to Grace.

I will just say this...people sue over the smallest things anymore in this country. That said, JetBlue can put me in the potty for 100,000 and I will be happy. *grin*

    Love to you all.
    Sue
