Always loved...

Uncle Lenny passed away December 30th, 2010.

He was my mothers sisters husband, sprightly for his age, and a person I honestly thought would live forever.

He had the warmest heart, he'd give you the shirt of his back.

He had the strongest hands, he could fix anything.

He had the greenest thumbs, he would fill a garden with vegetables quicker than you could blink.

He was a mean cook, we'd always beg him for his banana bread or sweet potato pie and he'd always gladly make it.

He had those listening ears that many men don't, he'd listen to you for hours not saying much but responding just when you needed him to.

He was such an easy going Uncle, honestly never complained about a thing and seemed to love every day that god blessed him with.

  1. That's so sad but a lovely posting about him. He seemed such a nice man from your description and he'll be sadly missed I bet.

It's funny how you get such a shock when these lovely people die. Like you say, you think they'll be there forever. Makes us appreciate people more.

  4. I really liked this post. My husband's aunt passed away last week and my uncle also passed away on the 24th. Just know that you are in my prayers.
