- I do wish Adam had eaten that darn apple instead of Eve.
- I still feel so guilty and stupid for wanting some time off after I get laid off. I feel lazy and non productive.
- I'm eager to see if I can get freelance work and work from home, I'm sure god will lead the way no matter what I want.
- Blessings come in small packages. The last time Baby C's school was closed I brought her the day care at work and she caught the "Day Care Halloween Parade". I had to bring her in again today as her school is closed for "Feast of the Immaculate Conception"....this time Santa will be here at 4pm!!
- My husband and I need to go to Catholic Classes 101, we're still trying to figure out why the "Feast of the Immaculate Conception" comes so close to the day Jesus was born? What happened to 9 months?
- I tried Bantu Knots aka China Bumps on Baby C this weekend....my mother used to talk about doing them on her hair when she was younger as she wasn't allowed to go the beauty shop. I know this sounds extremely ignorant but I had no idea this was a style done on ALL types of hair.
- Parents can prepare you for a lot in life, but nothing can prepare you for the emotions and feelings you have for your child. This morning she woke up and walked into the kitchen and I couldn't get over how tall she was. I swore she grew over night.
- I have to bake 60 cookies for the Girl Scout Cookie Exchange tonight....I'm thinking of baking chocolate chip cookies and then decorating the tops possibly like this and that:
- I started this post on Monday, I merely wanted to get some thoughts on paper and figured I'd just add to it as the time past, then Tuesday I thought about making it a "Ten on Tuesday" but the day some how escaped me, Wednesday, well I had way too many words to make it "Wordless Wednesday" and here we are Thursday....lets see if it ever gets published.
-
My mother sent the biggest package in the mail for us and others last week. I swear my mother is the nicest person I know. She sent stuff for me, Big C, Baby C, she also sent stuff for my friend Aly and Aly's parents, all of which she's ONLY met TWICE.
She also sent stuff for Baby C's old Day Care Director and the Day Care Directors Daughter who she's ONLY met ONCE! And when I say STUFF, I use the term loosely, I know for a fact that the package to the Day Care Director has a Radley of London Handbag in it....something like this. I only know this because she asked me if I minded that she bought the same one for me! LOL Bless her heart, that's just how my mom is "The Most Wonderful Mom I Know".Aly Directors Daughter Standing Day Care Director - I'm on the fence about sharing my blog with my soon to be old co workers. I've always made it a practice to NOT share my blog with co workers because my blog is my vessel to vent....and I don't really remember what I vented about 6 months ago, be it work or not work...I'll have to pray on it. There's a woman at my job who reminds me of Alicia from "The Good Wife", the way she dresses, the way her hair is...I don't see it as a negative or a positive but who knows if she'd be offended or not.
- I cooked "Fish Roll-Ups" for dinner Tuesday, I didn't "roll" anything, my fish was way too thick to roll but it sure was 'finger lickin good' and I really don't care for seafood so that lump crab meat on top was pushing it for me.
- Talking of "finger lickin good" I heard about a guy who tried to patent his slogan "Eat More Kale" and now he's getting sued by "Chick-fil-A" because of their slogan "Eat More Chicken"....the poor guys has been making tshirts for the last 10 years and only now decided to patent the phrase. I wish someone would tell Chick-fil-A to sit down somewhere and be quiet! Next someone will patent OMG.
- Happy Feet 2 was awesome....but then I've never seen Happy Feet 1....I do miss Brittney Murphy so sad she's no longer with us....celebrities seem to be leaving us so quickly of late....I wonder what that's about? I heard about a 10 year old that committed suicide after being bullied....10 years old? I can't even get my head around it and my heart well that's another matter my heart will never be able to register it.

OMG those cookies look amazing. You need to open up a cookie store.
ReplyDeleteHer hair came out so cute!
ReplyDelete" Parents can prepare you for a lot in life, but nothing can prepare you for the emotions and feelings you have for your child."
ReplyDeleteI was just thinking about writing a post about that myself. I'm not sure if you know, but our 2 girls are adopted, and I had no idea that my emotions and feelings could ever be as strong as they are for my kids. And it happened the first time I laid eyes on them too. It was like "wow, where does all this love come from!!"
I do the China Bumps all the time - Baby C looks very nice with it.
ReplyDeleteps: Don't feel bad or unproductive about wanting time off because I want the same. Today is my last day at work and I can't say I'm ready to jump into anything else right away. In the end, it's all in Gods hands - he'll lead us in the right direction
Have a great day
Every time you post new pictures of Baby C she looks taller and taller. It is getting more difficult to call her "Baby"
ReplyDeleteMy advice on sharing the blog with you former co-workers is don't. As much as you like the people you have worked with, by and large they are acquaintances and not friends. Just wait a while longer before you do it if you must.
Oh what might have happened had Adam partaken of that apple instead of Eve. That's a rather deep thought.
ReplyDeleteBOYCOTT AMERICAN WOMEN
ReplyDeleteWhy American men should boycott American women
Boycott American Women
I am an American man, and I have decided to boycott American women. In a nutshell, American women are the most likely to cheat on you, to divorce you, to get fat, to steal half of your money in the divorce courts, don't know how to cook or clean, don't want to have children, etc. Therefore, what intelligent man would want to get involved with American women?
American women are generally immature, selfish, extremely arrogant and self-centered, mentally unstable, irresponsible, and highly unchaste. The behavior of most American women is utterly disgusting, to say the least.
This blog is my attempt to explain why I feel American women are inferior to foreign women (non-American women), and why American men should boycott American women, and date/marry only foreign (non-American) women.
Tens of millions of American men have had their lives completely destroyed by American women through the following crimes:
1. False rape accusations (it has been proven that up to 80 percent of rape accusations are FALSE)
2. False domestic violence (DV) charges (same as above)
3. Financial destruction of men in divorce courts through alimony and support payments (women get up to 95 percent of their ex-husband's income and savings, as well as the house, car, etc)
4. Emotional destruction of men by ex-wives who have stolen their children from them and forbidden contact
5. Divorced dads who commit suicide as a result
Not one single American woman has EVER condemned their fellow American women for committing these crimes against men. Silence means consent. Therefore, American women support and enjoy destroying men's lives and causing men to commit suicide. Apparently, American women think it is okay to be a criminal, just as long as you are a woman. Therefore, is it any surprise that a huge percent of American men no longer want anything to do with American women, other than using them for easy sex and then throwing them away?
Over 50 percent of American women are single, without a boyfriend or husband; so the fact is most American men no longer want to marry American women. Let these worthless American women grow old living alone with their 10 cats.

I had no idea you were getting laid off. I guess I need to get back to reading your blog more often.
ReplyDeleteI love Baby C's hair. I tried to do that to mine but it didn't come out right.
Your mom seems so so sweet.
I remember those days of baking cookies. Good luck.
I don't know why I thought that you liked fish.
I would absolutely NOT give my blog address out to be my soon to be ex coworkers. I have a friend who asked me what my blog address was and I didn't tell her simply because I have referenced her in past posts.
Not sure what to make of suing over a slogan which, if you ask me, bears little or no resemblance to the corporate giant.
ReplyDeleteAgreed - children appear to grow overnight. Beautiful pics.
What do you suppose would've been different had Adam bite the apple?
Drop in to say hello. :) Thanks for coming past my blog and commenting. Your 'ramblings' had a lot of good stuff in them, good things to think about.
ReplyDeleteLove Baby C's hair! All three versions of it! You go Baby C. :)
God Bless and Happy Holidays to you and yours.
