Ten on Tuesday

  1. I'm cleaning, purging because it's fall. I just smiled in glee as I placed my KitchenAid Waffle maker manual and my keurig manual in the recycling knowing that I now have the pdf version of my manuals tucked away on Google Drive!
  2. Even though the air is crisp in the mornings and evenings the beach still calls me each weekend.
  3. I'm working on accepting where I am in life...the chapter that I'm in. I'm constantly questioning where I should be spiritually as friends around me seem to be on a spiritual journey with the books they read "Cheryl Strayed", "Brene Brown" and the tv shows they're watching "Super Soul Sunday". Spiritual entertainment bores me right now but every corner I turn it's peeking its head out at me trying to say hello.
  4. I realize that we all love the simple things in life. I posted a picture of Baby C's breakfast on Instagram with no words, no title, no filter just it. I was amazed at all the likes it got. I posted it merely because it looks so simple, so ordinary, so plain. It made me smile and love the beauty in the organic world with no glitz and glam, no flood lights.
  5. When I look out the window beyond my computer screen all I see is a big old warehouse. If I strain my head to the left and crouch down I see can see a sliver of light and the leaves on the trees. It's my only connection with the outside when I'm stuck in this box called work.
  6. There's a 10 year old boy in my Visual Basics class. He has no social skills and doesn't know when to interject in a conversation and when to let the teacher continue teaching class. My feelings are intermittent, at times it bothers me and I wish his father would tap him on the shoulder or give him that look more often than he does. Other times I marvel at the true definition of a kid versus an adult and I realize how much we learn, how you're not born with the art of communication, how wisdom brings so many things.
  7. My cousin's girlfriend (why do we do that when we're telling stories? Why do we feel the need to define the complete association of person. They story would normally NOT get affected if we don't know the persons affiliation, like my story wouldn't change if you didn't know it was my "cousins girlfriend") Sent me an email to check the NYS Comptroller Website for unclaimed funds. I thought her email address had been hacked and I didn't click on the link but instead text her first to see what was going on. She text me back that the email was indeed her and that every year she checks to see if she has unclaimed funds. She said she had a NYS IRS check that was unclaimed and got the check in 3 weeks. So unless her phone texts have been hacked as well I'm off to see what unclaimed money Uncle Sam has for me!
  8. "Seek and You Shall Find" a brochure came home from the town with all the events for the fall...as I flicked I came across a FREE 8 week art class for Baby C. They'll teach them the art of painting from beginning to end. It's 9:30 every Saturday morning but what a great exposure for her...now I just wish they had free S.T.E.M classes around my neighborhood.
  9. We all went to fly a kite this weekend at the beach.....it was the first time Baby C has ever flown a kit....it was so much fun seeing the smile on her face.

  10. I'll have to come back to number 10 as it's about to be Ten on Wednesday if I keep this up.
