Why do meeting last so long?

Do you ever wonder what the point of an extra long meeting is? I mean do you really get more accomplished the longer it is. Or is merely more time to go over bullsh*t!

Personally I feel the shorter the allocated time for a meeting the quicker things get accomplished as you don't have time to spare and you get straight to the point...but that's just me!

Anyway I saw all this to say that on Friday I had a meeting scheduled from 10AM - 3PM!! Yikes! Thankfully they were providing lunch but what in the world could be discussed for that long!

I made sure to bring along my phone so I could play games if I got bored. I made sure to add Baby C to the lunch list as I wouldn't be able to feed her or see her for most of that day. I also made sure to practice my "I'm so interested look even though I'm falling asleep look!" (You'd never think that you'd have to practice such a face but you do!)

Halfway through my meeting my phone started to beep/vibrate and up on the screen came this:

Lisa from day care knew I wouldn't be able to see Baby C all day and took pictures to send to me during the long old meeting!!!

Notes to self:

Books that people I tagged suggested:

"Walk Across the Room" by Bill Hyebols
"Anything to Grace" by Junie B. Jones
"The Little House In The Big Woods" by Laura Ingalls Wilder
"Marley and Me" by John Grogan
"An Affair With A House" by Bunny Williams etc. (This is looks like fun)
"Poisonwood Bible" by Barbara Kingsolver
"Chronicles of Narnia" by C.S. Lewis

  1. Oh my goodness, don't you just hate those meetings? That's one thing (among several others) that I DO NOT miss about corporate america. And it was even worse when I was nursing/pumping. Nothing worse than sitting in a long boring meeting and your mind starts to wander, mainly to thoughts of your baby...and you spring a leak! Talk about making a meeting exciting! LOL
That picture is TOOOO stinkin cute! I LOVE it!!!
