So has anyone seen the Martin Scorsese move "The Departed'Big C and I watched it on Valentines day as we were both off work due to the snow storm...talking of snow storm how did that affect you guys if at all. I haven't read many blogs complaining about the weather so I would assume it didn't drive many up an icy wall.
So I digress what's new!!! The Departed...I'm not a big fan of Martin Scorsese movies...yeah shoot me but I'm not...I think the man has a twisted mind along with Steven King.
But anyway I thought this movie was H I L A R I O U S!! And I would highly recommend it to anyway.
I came across 3 people who were about to watch it that night or weekend and I told them it was hilarious...and they're first response was..."I didn't know it was a comedy" and my response each and every time was..."It's not but it was still bloody funny!"
So many one liners, stereotypes, and just decisions were so darn funny.
I couldn't have watched it in the movie theatre as it was just too long to keep me sitting that long...it didn't just fly by, like those movies where you can't believe 2 hours went by already.
But it was a definite snow day movie.
So let me know if you've seen it and what you thought.
This is what Baby C thought of the movie by the way, but she's no Ebert & Roeper so she doesn't count!

ReplyDeleteFirst of all, those of us down south haven't had to deal with snow or ice for that matter. It's been kinda cold though...but I'm ALWAYS cold!
As far as the movie, I haven't seen it. But my DH has. And he really enjoyed it. He says he may even buy it. But he actually likes Martin whateverhislastnameis! (most men do)
I think I'd be doing the same thing as Courtney!

ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed the movie. Hubby and I saw it Friday and we liked it too. Wednesday I was off work to because of the snow but went out latter to see Daddy's Little Girls. It was sweet and sappy but I rather spend my money on that then Norbbit which I heard from friends was horrible.

Oh yeah, it's 70 degrees right now! Just gorgeous! But we did get some snow this past weekend! Crazy weather!!!
