I had to go and see her for the last time behind bars, she'll graduate from the crib to the cot come Monday...I was fine downstairs but as I type I'm getting teary eyed and I'd like to say I have no idea why...but my heart knows.

She even got a certificate today and also had her stuff moved to her new cubby, a cubby with her name and picture! She's really somebody now!

Now it will be Baby C that rushes to her cubby, slowly looking one by one, for her picture and her name and pointing proudly to her chest before she hangs up her little coat.

Gosh, I remember those days of Ava in the baby room. I was scared about moving to the Toodler I. M, be prepared. This is the hardest transition for most daycare babies. Not only is she going from crib to cot, but usually they are going from highchair to table (if she hasn't done it already), and no bottles to sippys only. It took Ava about four weeks to get a grip. But once she did, it was all good. And all the other class moves were smooth as silk.
ReplyDeleteI hope that Baby C moves along with much ease.
And Cherei (or whatever) was just plain GHETTO at Tribal Council. I'm glad she is gone:)
Awww, what a proud moment...for both you and Courtney. That picture of her sleeping is ADORABLE. I smell a LO coming...sniff, sniff....
ReplyDeleteShe's growing up momma!

aww, can you believe it? your baby's growing up!
ReplyDeleteGirl Anthony just moved upstairs at his daycare this past week and it has been awful for me. I think I am in denial more than he is. I just wish he could have stayed in his toddler class forever. But I guess we can't keep them little forever.
ReplyDeleteBaby C will do great. I love how they put her picture on her cubby.
Awww I understand how bitter sweet this can be. You want to see them grow but at the same time you want to keep them young. I don't think this every changes. Hang in there!
ReplyDeleteMAn Melanie, she is so adorable in that crib shot!! She is so huggable looking ya' know? Hope all goes well (for both of you!) in the big move up! :)
