Happy New Year to everyone.

Did anyone watch any movies over the holidays and would like to warn against or recommend them?

Last night I spent an hour or more of my life that I can NEVER get back watching "The Strangers".

I really like Liv Tyler and I thought I'd like this movie, but I was sadly mistaken.

It's a horror movie that I made Big C restart maybe THREE times because each time it was just too dark outside for me to watch it...I was terrified after the first few scenes each and every time.

We finally sat down to watch it on a bright sunny sunday afternoon and while I was still gripping the edge of my seat for most of the movie the ending was sooo piss poor that it ruined the entire thing.

So I give "The Strangers" thumbs down and half a star! LOL

The Kite Runner made up for everything, I hardly noticed that I was reading subtitles, though I cried for ages at it's summation and just hugged Baby C.

You steal his wife's right to a husband, rob his children of a father. When you tell a lie, you steal someone's right to the truth. When you cheat, you steal the right to fairness. "

I give "The Kite Runner" thumbs up and a million stars!

P.S. Christmas dinner was fantastic, final tally was 42 people, I doubled up on all the food and we had a duplicate spread of food upstairs and downstairs in the basement! We had "The Dark Knight" playing simulcast in the living room and basement and many family members were left stumbling a little as Nanny put a drop too much port in the Sorrel! LOL
