Food and Alarms!!!

So I'm emptying my inbox this morning and was presented with this image in an email:

Unless you absolutely hate Mexican food, this is probably having the same effect on you as it did me!!!

It's a Burrito Pie that looks so delicious that even after scarfing down my breakfast it managed to sing..."Make, Me...Eat, Me!!!

I'm actually in the midst of doing weight watchers so I don't think I'll be eating Burrito Pie for quite some time...one slice is 10 points, and I'm sure the slice is small enough that it's not worth 10 points!!

After salivating over the Burrito Pie I went outside to read a book (a really bad book that I feel obligated to finish) and enjoy the rays...on my way out I saw a woman sitting on a chair, reading a book in the hallway of our building. She'd literally dragged a chair from our kitchen, into the hallway and sat there reading.

I couldn't walk by without commenting about the fact that it actually seemed like a nice quiet place to read a book. I've tried reading a book in the kitchen and everyone that enters feels the need to say hello and ignore the fact that I have a book in my hand and start a conversation.

Anyhoo, the woman informed me that the fire alarm system was down and she was actually sitting there outside the day care entrance so as to act like a manual fire alarm for the day care until the alarm was fixed!!!

I thought to myself if that's NOT DEDICATION I don't know what is.

(Though if I hadn't walked by I wouldn't have known the alarm was not working, but at least they chose to save the kids!)

P.S. I nearly forgot, I HAVE to make time to do these with Baby C "Springy Flower Pot Desserts: A Blast From My Past" by The Pioneer Woman.....DON'T they look sooo real...NOT EDIBLE!!!

  1. So, how many points do you get for all day on WW? Couldn't you just eat the burrito dish for all three meals and nothing else? I could do that.

  3. Agreed - the woman does appear to have dedication in looking after the kids at the day care.

I would have scored all the points from that Burrito Pie. Looks like some good eating.
