Ten on Tuesday

1. I know there's a gene that allows some people to eat whatever they want and never gain a pound. So how long is the pharmaceutical industry going to be allowed to hide this secret? Couldn't they make more money selling the secret than selling diet pills?
   
   
2. After all that talk about the fat/skinny gene...I'm making Broiled Tilapia Parmesan for dinner tonight. It's the best fish dish I've ever made. My belief is, anything that can come out of the broiler in 8 minutes ready for me to eat AND taste good...is a winner (Plus it's only 5 WW points)!!
   
   

3. I keep thinking of the little girl who died in the Tucson Tragedy the fact that she was born on the day of a tragic event (9/11/01) and died on the day of a tragic event is surreal to me and very saddening. How could a child that young deserve such circumstances?
   
   
4. My grandfather is 90 about to be 91 and not in the best of health. My Aunt Dor and my mother have this fantastic idea to get as many grand children and great grandchildren to California for his birthday in March. I've been delegated as the person to find somewhere for us ALL to stay. I think no matter what life is short (My Uncle Leonard was buried Sunday) and we should make the best of the entire event.
   
   
5. It's Big C's birthday at the end of the month. I don't really know what to do to celebrate. My heart says "Go to Aruba". My wallet says "Stay home and be frugal".
   
   
6. I didn't make any new years resolutions this year. I think it's the first time I've never written anything down. I think I've finally come to the realization that I don't seem to follow through on dream like, wispy ideas, and if something gets done,..well  "It just gets done by the Grace of God" and not because of my scribblings on a piece of paper.
   
   
7. The meteorologist says another snow storm is heading our way and I hope it snows so much that I can't even open my front door. I hope my work place can't open their front door either.
   
   

8. We looked at an Estate Sale house on Sunday and there was a perfect office type room that my mother could make her own. I can't wait for the day that my mother finally moves here, I dream about us getting our nails done together or just spending the day not thinking about how many more days left we have before she goes back home. I wish I'd had the wisdom as a child to appreciate her more, especially now that we live so far apart. But I guess that's why it's called WISE dom.
   
   
9. My oldest friend Ella got engaged for Christmas. I've known her since we were 3! I used google maps the other day to walk down the streets of where I used to live and where she used to live, showing Big C all of our stomping grounds along the way! Google maps is amazing, you can literally walk down any street in the world!!!
   
   
10. I started reading Nights in Rodanthe last year and I'm still trying to read it. I don't know how to squeeze more hours into a day. I wish I knew what the secret was for others who read a book in a day.
