ten on tuesday

  • Baby C called me at work and let a message stating "I'm calling to talk to my mom but I'm scared as I got put on yellow" (her school does the traffic lights method for discipline, she told me the other day that she likes the time out chair because she can concentrate better, so I had to put the fear of god into her some how no?)
  • I went to the gym at work and turned the tv to Law & Order. I don't know how those people work out in complete silence. I always ask before I turn it on of course. When I left everyone had stopped working out and was just standing there watching the conclusion of Law & Order. So easily influenced!  o_O
  • I want to make these tonight

  • my office was so cold today that I literally couldn't concentrate...I've never actually been so cold that I couldn't work...I sat and drank tea and read blogs and worked a little
  • I signed up to be a daisy co-leader
  • I signed up to be a co class coordinator. (we'll see if I get approved for this based on #1)
  • Baby C's a punk and needs to toughen up, she cried when she couldn't get the ball during soccer, I think she knew better than to come to me for consoling
  • why isn't consolement a word?
  • Yes I'm a harsh mother according to #1 and #7
  • Yes I know these aren't numbers I just wanted to make you guys count!
  • I love how you can log into nearly anything with your google account these days, making single sign on the best thing ever!!! It makes it so much easier than remembering a million passwords, because that password you've used for all the other 50 accounts just won't work all of a sudden when you need a number, a letter, an uppercase letter and a symbol...geez developers get a life!. (and yes I know this is #11 I can count).

  1. I loved this post Mel. Ok now today I went and borrowed someone's heater. Clearly we aren't supposed to have space heaters either in our office but it was either that or I leave and go home.
Oh I am so glad you are going to the gym. When I was going to the gym they would always have the news on so I never could watch good shows.
Mel, Anthony cried when he went to basketball practice the first time and he didn't get the ball and he was about the age of Baby C so we left that day and never went back to the practice. LOL I think I was the punk that day because I didn't want to see him cry.
Oh I love the fact too that you can log on once and you are logged onto your gmail, blogger, youtube all at once.

  5. Oh I love it! But what is a daisy co leader?

Bless her, I like her logic of concentrating better on the time out chair. And I don't think there's anything wrong with tough love. Does she like football? It's funny because over here it isn't the first sport girls lean towards xx

  6. @Sherms...it isn't always the first sport that girls lean towards over here either when they get older, but it's one of the first "pee wee" (youth) sports geared towards teaching the concept of "Organized Sports" but it is hilarious watching them kick the ball the entirely WRONG way!!!

Oh and Daisies is merely the step BEFORE Brownies. I think she is a Daisy for 2 years then she moves on to Brownies.

  7. I don't know what it is about LAW AND ORDER but I can watch the re-runs over and over. It seems to be the perfect mindless drivel.

  8. are those pumpkin cream cheese muffins? mmm!
so is there someone that baby c sits next to at school that makes sitting in the time out chair better? I had to laugh at that. Girls are so social at an early age...I'm sure mine would be in the time out chair and have a yellow card every day! :p

  9. Co-sign your Google account sentiments. Sometimes it surprises me when I'm on a site and it asks for my Google account info. Which is great, cause I will forget a password in a heartbeat.

    Baby C is smart. Lol.

    Consolment isn't a word? Lol.

  10. I thought the message your daughter left you was very cute. Ya know, I know that many teachers allow their students to sit in a "safe" place in the room to help them concentrate better. Perhaps your daughter's teacher could create a place of solitude for her so she can concentrate on her work. It's not every day that kids her age can communicate their needs, so it must be benefiting her somehow...just a thought :)
