Weekend Wrap Up

The weekend started early this week from the minute I got home Friday. I had coupons for Banana Republic and I was just itching to use them. Of course we get there and there's NOTHING I like...$45 in coupons and there's nothing to buy...that's unheard of for me.

So on a Friday night we ended up at Staples buying pencil grips for Baby C .... the highlight of our evening! Woo Hoo oh and the extra large rice krispie treat the 3 of us shared from The Noodle Company

Probably due to the early retiring on Friday evening Baby C woke up at 6:30 am Saturday another unheard of in our house. We strolled over to her first Art Class and she seemed to have fun, all the while I sat calculating the laundry list of things I needed to do this weekend and got ever more daunted as she cut, glued and pasted....
  1. Change over to winter closets and go through summer clothes pull out those that can't be worn next year
  2. Put away summer clothes
  3. Repeat for my closet (YIKES)
  4. Get Sunday dinner out the freezer so you're not staring at it Sunday at 5 in the freezer
I must say this Sweet & Tangy Russian Chicken was awesome
  5. Finish the laundry so you're not cursing yourself AFTER you've put away all the summer clothes and you have a stack that still need putting away (does this happen to anyone else ughhh!)
  6. Finish installing hooks in the basement
  7. Wash and braid Baby C's hair (3 hour challenge, god I asked you for a boy! )
  8. Make a dessert to go along with Sunday dinner (I bailed on this and found an old Coconut Custard Pie in the freezer)
  9. Remember to put Baby C's monthly reading log into her bad along with already over due library book (She's up to 47 books for the year so far!)
  10. Remember that Baby C switches over to winter school uniforms Monday (YIKES)
  11. Scrub the bathroom tile before we grow a science experiment
  12. Oh yeah grocery shopping for October Menus (I'm still in shock I was done so early with menu's that I might forget to go)
  13. Have Baby C pick out breakfast options from Pinterest or you'll be stuffing her with carbs every morning of course she picked out nothing but carbs (YIKES)
  14. Pick out clothes for work for the week so you're not walking in circles at 6:30 am trying to find a bra that won't show under the white shirt you're convinced you must wear. (of course this is dependent on step 4)
While i tackled this exhausted list I convinced Big C to take Baby C on a her schools Family Amusement Park Trip...of course he did NOT looked thrilled when I asked if he'd go alone, but then I turned it around and asked him if he wanted to stay home and take care of the list....of course he then SKIPPED off with GLEE!  But he did take some awesome pictures with his phone though.

I'm going to print and iron this one onto the back of the t shirt she's wearing

This is my favorite one from the day.

I love her hair like this, obviously this was before step 7 above.

I must say the reason I pushed myself so much Saturday was not ONLY because the weeks goes by SO MUCH SMOOTHER when prepped (this takes my prep to an entirely different level) like this but also because I knew I couldn't do it Sunday as I desperately wanted to attend "Annual Atlantic Antics Festival" in Brooklyn. My cousin informed of the event and I'd never been before and we all had a blast....it was so worth all the effort made to get there...

She picked out the socks herself, i'm digging them!

I love the sneak peek pics they're always the best.

  1. So many great photos! I love the socks too. So you change out your wardrobe, sorry closet, with winter and summer clothes? What do you do with the summer ones then? My gear is all just crammed in together, and I forget to wear half of it, because it's hard to find stuff. :D

  2. Yes. What Staci said. :D I like her hair with just the headband, too. Does she like it braided better? I have no idea what it takes to keep up with girl hair. I give the haircuts in this house, but that's about it. 20 minutes, every other week. Maybe God knew I would suck at doing girl hair. :)
