I don't quite understand why it would be easier but go figure!! Maybe it has something to do with getting TOO much sleep if I go to 6AM.
Anyway my friend Kansas Queen gets up around this time...and for years I thought she'd lost her mind crazy and just couldn't agree with it at all. But since having baby C 4:30AM is the only time when I get me time. Some how Big C seems to find me time at any given hour (not sure how he masters that one) and I can't seem to find any during the day.
By the time big C left I still had so much time on my hands before I was due to leave that I kind of got bored and just left for work early!!! I stopped off at a grocery store right by my job to pick up some #2 coffee filters (oh yes that's the other beauty of the 4:30 thing...being able to start a brew of coffee and actually be able to drink it and not have to save it for iced coffees!! LOL).
Anyway while in the store look what I found!!!!
Big C suprised me and took me to Rhode Island for my birthday...I was so excited not knowing where I was going...he booked us in at the Marriott Courtyard...I was a little scared as I'm used to staying at the Marriott Residence Inn as I love the full kitchen you get in the room and now with baby C we really need it. But the Courtyard was excellent, it had a microwave and a fridge in the room...what more could I have asked for!!! We had an awesome time and we were just a few minutes from my little cousin who goes to Brown, so on the way home we took her out for brunch and got to hear all her college stories!! She's so cute! I was bummed that I forget to take a pic of her holding baby C :0(
But here are a few pics from that weekend...only the ones taken with my phone...I didn't upload the ones from the camera:
baby C, how could I not take a pic!
Don't be surprised if you see Baby C on the front of a oatmeal box or on a toy! (The passerby who took the picture will sell it and get rich off your kid. LOL!!!) I love my nieces cheeks because when she is bigger she will not believe she was ever that chubby. Glad you found the red velvet cake. It motivated me to make the box that has been in my pantry since January of this year. Too bad we can't mail each other a piece to see which one is best. BTW- I get up at 3:30am not 4:30am!
ReplyDeleteWhat time do you go to bed?
ReplyDelete6 am might be smack in the middle of one of your sleep cycles, thus the difficulty.
I am a big believer in both the 30 minute power nap and the 4-hour rejuvinating cycle - and a friend of mine who is a sleep expert says the research agrees with me.
- O
Let's see...I usually climb in the bed around 9PM and fall asleep around 10PM....so with that said it would be:
ReplyDelete10PM - 2AM (First 4 hours)
2AM - 6AM (Second 4 hours)
Hmm you asked what time do I go to bed not fall asleep...so would it start from 9PM?
9PM - 1AM (First 4 hours)
1AM - 5AM (Second 4 hours)
5AM - 9AM (Third 4 hours)
OH MAN I LOVE RED VELVET CAKE!!!!! I am looking for that today!!
