Like (I can't believe I said "Like", that's what I get for still watching "The Hills" when I know good and well I'm too old for that show) I really want to do something tonight, maybe take a slow ride into Mahattan, let the city lights play tricks on Baby C's eye lids as she fights to keep them open and as she drifts off into Elmos World we could catch a movie and get a bite to eat. (Tangent: (Yes I feel it's now necessary to alert people reading when I'm about to drift off into something completely unrelated) do you think babies dream about things they see or do they dream randomly, when do dreams begin?)
But I know by the time 5pm rolls around there'll be a pixie sprinkling pixie dust on my shoulder making my eye lids close, and I'll be lucky if I make it home and don't fall asleep in the drive way. (Pixie dust is how Big C describes it when he suddenly falls asleep, either that or he says he was "resting his eyes!" MEN!).
Of course I wasn't in the U.S. in the 80's so I have no idea what The Love Boat is all about or any of the characters. I only have what Google can provide!!!
I want to take Baby C back to the pumpkin patch and farm this Sunday as last weekend my camera battery died and I was so mad I made everyone leave! I know how selfish of me but I just thought staying would be such a waste if I couldn't document it! Wow what kind of a person have a become! LOL A witch! Thats's one of the new words Baby C is learning, witch and scarecrow!
I should have someone take a picture of us today as we're wearing the same outfit...pink cotton shirts and blue jeans. I deliberately did it after accidentally doing it so many times this past month! I thought we'll there's a good idea, lets see how cute it might look. I'm on the hunt for a cute fall vest for Baby C...but I don't want to spend like $40 on it! I found a cute one at Target $12.99 but it's not jumping out at me. Not that i expect all clothes to jump out at me, but I want to get it kind of big. One because I think it will look cute and two so she can wear it more than one year. So if I'm going to have to look at it for the next two years it needs to JUMP out at me!
So anyway like I said I have ABSOLUTELY nothing to talk about...so I might as well end here.
Oh I love mommy/daughter dressing. I wish I still had some of the stuff from when Maddie was smaller.
ReplyDeleteI'm so jealous you are in NYC I so want to visit there someday. I've been but very quickly and never had a chance to do any touristy stuff!
I love the idea of an 80's party and the Cobsy Show would be awesome. Patterned sweaters, shoulder pads and big hair. Nirvana for me!
oh yes, i'm with you patti. the 80s was SUCH a costume period.
ReplyDeletebem, babies most definitely dream during infancy as early as minutes old at birth. i haven't researched it, so i have no scientific reference, but i am a mom who relished the fluttering eyelids of my two, now 16 and 19.
btw, i'm so happy you stopped by. i thought i lost you as a blogger friend for a moment. i'm in the midst of research for a new blog on my icscn blog. but i blog almost daily on icanseemea.
your little girl is so cute. i never dressed like my girls. it never occured to me, probably cause i was dressing them like each other.
:) maria
Have fun dressing like the 80s woman~~ you need some big hair, neon clothes and you must wear at least two pairs of socks, three shirts with all collars turned up, and bright pink and blue eye shadow!! LOL...
ReplyDeleteOMG she is PRECIOUS! I could just kiss her little face and I am in awe that she can sign!
ReplyDeleteBTW my dog (Reilly) has a coat just like that sherpa vest! I kid you not!
Neat video!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteMy grandmother used to say that - "I'm just resting my eyes!"
What a super cute post. And yes, you were rambling a little bit :-). But now that I've finally heard your "accent", it's ok. Very cute :-).
ReplyDeleteI love how Baby C is learning sign language. She makes it look like an adorable thing to learn. I know the ABC's and a few other things. But english is still difficult for me...hee hee.
I think you two dressing alike is cute. Accidentally, Jayla and I dressed in the same colors, just in opposite places (I've got on brown capris and she has on a brown top. I've got on a red top and she's got on a red skirt). I sometimes dress us alike when we go out. God forbid anything ever happen and she get lost. At least I wouldn't have to "remember" what she was wearing...I'd just say she had on the same thing as me.
Have a groovy weekend, my friend.
How sweet that Baby C is learning to sign. I used to dress my daughter and I alike all the time when she was younger. Enjoy it now, because the teen age years do come and she would never dress like you then. She has been known to change when she had on the same shirt as one of us.
ReplyDeleteBaby C is to cute. She is a smart girl!
ReplyDeleteCute video! she knows a lot of signs! That is great.
ReplyDeleteHave lots of fun at your 80's party...you totally have post pictures so we can all see!
I used to watch Love Boat EVERY week. Thanks for the flashback!! :-)
ReplyDeleteI LOVED the 80s!!!
Baby C is just so cute!!!
And oh yeah...I want to beach on a beach with a drink too!!!!
ReplyDeletethat's very cute!!! Here's the sign for play you take your 3 middle fingers and bend them to your palm so you just have your pinky and thumbs are still out and your turn your wrist left to right and you do both hands this way. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd eat is easy put all your fingers together so that they are all "resting" on top of thumb and move to mouth
hi,
ReplyDeletethis is my first visit to your site, and i like.
i'm teaching my daughter how to sign also. she's only 8 months and hasn't signed back as of yet, but i figure by her 1st b-day she will have signed something (prob. milk b/c that's her favorite thing in the world).
you should check out the Signing Time series. you can go to youtube to find a few clips. it's really great and fun too!
