Ten on Tuesday

  1. I should have just added two items to Monday post and saved it for Tuesday, but here we are...
  2. Last night my entire family watched Food Inc and Fat, Sick & Nearly Dying, I got to open the eyes of Big C, my mother and Baby C. My mother and Big C were already kind of aware of the issues (though after watching Fat, Sick & Nearly Dying it did spike a huge interest in Big C to possibly get off all his meds), but poor little Baby C's face when she saw all those chickens. I mean what do you say to a kid when she asks "Why are they doing that to those chickens?" and "Why did those chickens die?"
  3. I wish I'd watched it years ago, I would have sent poor Mr. Moe Parr some money for his fight. I can't believe I live in a country where you're not allowed to clean and re use seed unless you prove to "ONE" company that the seed hasn't morphed with their genitally modified crap.
  4. I need to look out the window and make sure i'm not living in Russia or China.
  5. By the time I get to number 10 on this list I might be on some government watch list, I guess I'll know for sure when I walk to my car tonight and there's men dressed in black jumping from low flying helicopters like something out of "Conspiracy Theory", heck as long as Mel Gibsons on my side I should be alright.
  6. I made Breakfast in Bangkok this morning. I ended up being a little late for work because of it, but it was well worth it....yum!
  7. On the drive to work this morning it hit me that for the last 5 years I've been able to go downstairs and look in on my daughter whenever I want to. Come this time next week I won't be able to do that any more and it momentarily scared the crap out of me, I'm ok now though.
  8. Truth be told my Baby C has a quick whit, smart tongue and the knack to throw a previous conversation back in your face at just the right time. I know she won't be the first tough cookie the kindergarten teachers had but I pray it's not her last either. You know that mother that you see on the news talking about "He's such a good boy" and you know, that they know, that they're lying!!! Well I know my daughters mouth, because unfortunately I know "MY" mouth!! LOL It's no laughing matter I know, I need to do better and I need to think positively and remember that she actually does know how to act in public, it just depends how long she considered school a public place.
  9. This morning I pulled the tag off the dress I'm wearing and yet I had the nerve to nearly print a 40% off coupon from Banana Repulic that I got in an email this morning.
  10. We weathered Hurricane Irene just fine this weekend, we kept power the entire time, we didn't have ANY flooding in our basement and yet the water from the creek managed to make its way half way up our street merely stopping about 5 houses down from us. Seeing people all weekend ripping up carpets, and disposing of ruined possessions was heart wrenching but at least no one lost their lives (a least not locally), and we got our full moneys worth out of the landscapers yesterday as they hauled away all these leaves and broken branches in our back yard. If I'd been prepared and had half a mind I would have kept it all for mulch for next year for my little patch of heaven out back!

  1. Food Matters. Watch it, love it. BigC will definitely want off his meds after watching. :D

I LOVE that you're finally crazy like me. SCRATCH THAT! I love that you're making complete and total sense. Like me. It's everyone else that's crazy. hahahahahah

Glad you were able to weather the storm. Keep seeking the truth!!

  2. SO glad you guys were okay with Irene. So much damage elsewhere. Hang in there and allow yourself some tears on first day of kindergarten ;)

  3. Getting healthy and staying healthy is a confusing ordeal these days. Everyone has a plan and for every plan there is someone do dispute it. If we get caught up in too much of the hype we're going to die from the trauma alone it brings.

It is a very good thing that Baby C can speak her mind. I feel better about the children being able to express themselves and not believe every word just because someone older is saying it.

  4. Hurricane Irene had many in the North on edge. Good to see that you and your fam weathered the storm.

Looks like Baby C has great timing. Lol. Love her ability to remember and toss a previous conversation into the mix. Gotta love it.

What does Breakfast In Bangkok consist of?
