Ten on Tuesday

  1. We had Girl Scouts (I'm a co-leader) tonight leaving next to no time for me to cook dinner and it was my night to cook so I pulled out the old faithful crockpot last night and made Easy Crockpot Lentil Chili Baby C asked for more. Big C and I agreed at her age we couldn't have picked a Lentil out of a line up much less eat it.
  2. I went on Facebook looking for a friends address tonight and read about my high school friend Anjali whose heat went out and when the service technician arrived and saw Anjali's son his eyes welled up with tears. Come to find out his 3 month old grand daughter died the night before. It was so cold that they wrapped the baby in a blanket and it died in it's sleep. They're ruling it SIDS but I know the mother will blame herself for the rest of her life for wrapping it in a blanket. So sad :(
  3. Big C and I are trying to purge the filing cabinet. Tonight it was my turn to shred the 2012 electric bills and he was to do the gas bills. I came home from Girl Scouts and he'd done both. Sometimes it's the little things that mean so much.
  4. I got the lego Volkswagen T1 Camper Van for Christmas I'm super excited.
  5. My friend Aly sent me a fridge magnet that says "Are we gladiators or are we bitches?" #Scandal.
I laughed so hard when I saw it. Especially when she wrote a note stating that as she packaged it she remembered that Baby C is only 7 and "Bitches" isn't the best language for until at least 12th grade :) But not to worry she also packaged it with "Hello Lashes" mascara, it has a ball at the end that will make my lashes look bigger! I love Aly she's always teaching me something new.
  6. I'm trying to type and I got sucked into FLDS show "Escaping the Prophet" I know most of these shows are scripted and or tweaked but wow....I need to turn. I wonder who watches this show.
  7. Its 10pm and Baby C finally got into bed...and started begging to read a book so late. She said she picked out a thin book with big words "I'll be done so quickly mom I promise!" Ha
  8. I sat watching the news at 5:40pm and right next to it was the number 9. It took me a long time to see the tiny degree symbol next to the 9 and register that it's really 9 degrees at the moment.
  9. It's really time to get the Christmas leftovers out the back of the fridge. ughh But it was so good.
  10. I think I ate nearly half a slab of Trader Joe's Organic New Zealand Cheddar Cheese tonight...but it was so smooth and good. Yikes and when is Trader Joe's going to have all their products on their website already.

  1. I seriously LOVE scandal! We don't have a television or cable so I usually watch it online at ABC. They used to allow you to watch it the day after it aired but now they're making you wait a week. Guess I'm going to have to go to the gym to watch it or actually wait a week. I just hate all the commercials when you watch something live.
How truly heartbreaking about that baby. If it was SIDs, it's likely that even if they baby weren't wrapped in a blanket, she still would have passed away. It's tragic and I know, no matter what anyone tells her, you're right, that mother will blame herself xx
