- I had the luxury of working from home today after being off sick yesterday, i felt warm inside being able to surprise Baby C and pick her up from school.
- Last week my co worker confided in me that 2 people from our department are going to get laid off and my name came up as one of them.
- Baby C threw up most most of Sunday afternoon, yet another stomach virus
- Big C and I spent 4 hrs Sunday morning in the kitchen together making Carrot, Grapefruit, apple, juice for Monday's breakfast, home made Banana Crumb Muffins for a healthy weekly snack and a Chicken Pot Pie with pie crust from scratch for Sunday dinner. It's usually just me in the kitchen Sunday but I asked if he'd like to help me and it made everything go by that much faster I was deeply thankful.
- I just found out that the AC Moore by me has become an outlet with everything 40% off. I hope they're not going out of business. I just started putting mySELF first and started scrapbooking again.
- Our toilets leaking, there's not really much else that needs to be said about that
- I watched the movie "Captain Phillips" last night. I always spoil things for myself and read up about the movie while I'm watching it. While the movie was still edge of the seat suspenseful in the beginning I quickly lost interest as I read that the series of events were distinctly distorted to the real life and that Captain Phillips was not a hero but rather an arrogant Captain that no one wanted to sail with.....alas I still watched to the end.
- I purposely put mySELF first this morning. I was dead tired driving but I knew we needed sugar and other items from BJ's. I chose to keep driving home and relax rather than pushing myself to stop at the store and shuffle around each aisle.
- I watched a Dr on the Today show and laughed as she told me that even though General Mills is now making a brand of Cherrios that is GMO free....that i shouldn't worry about the other cereals and food that contain GMO's as the government has deemed them safe for consumption and there's nothing to worry about. Even the Dr didn't sound convinced as the words pronounced each word.
- I realized be careful what you ask god for. I'm working on watching my words. It's my turn to pick Family Night this Friday!

Oh no I'm sorry about being laid off, is that a definite decision?
ReplyDeleteAnd a leaking toilet is never fun.
Where to start, what a crazy ten! Firstly, if the government says it's safe, it must be. Secondly, are you concerned about the lay off rumor? I hope that it's not true and your colleague has some misinformation. I often look online to see what happens during a suspenseful moment of a movie or TV show. Can't help it, I guess I like to know what's coming. I hope you're all ready for Family Night tomorrow xx
ReplyDeleteBanana Crumb Muffins and chicken pot pie, both are faves of mine and one can only imagine how wonderful your kitchen will smell. I too agree that we must be careful what we ask God for. And that sucks hearing your name come up in lay-off talks. Hopefully, it's just a rumor though?
ReplyDeleteBanana crumb muffins. I need that recipe, sounds soo good!! I would love for someone to be in the kitchen other than Reagan asking if it's ready yet!
