I'm a bad mother, I'm a bad daughter!

I feel like such a bad mother and daughter...it's what June now...and I never shared the pictures from Baby C's birthday from back in April! I know my mother's dying to see the pictures even though she was here and got to experience the real thing.

Anyhoo, Baby C had her birthday at the Long Island Children's Museum where we signed up for the Messy Merriment: No muss, no fuss, just messy fun! An assortment of goopy, gooey and squishy materials is guaranteed to provide hands-on birthday fun! The best part—you leave the clean up to us! Enjoy playing with slime, oobleck, clean "mud" and more at this multi-sensory birthday bash! Smocks are provided.

ehmm can you guess which part grabbed me and pulled me in!!

Initially I felt kind of bad because Messy Merriment is geared for 3-5 year olds which kind of nixed out quite a few of the kids I'd invited for Baby C's first birthday because they were just too old...but a good time was had by all in the end.

My mother loved the museum location, surroundings and the idea of Messy Merriment and believe it or not that pleased me the most. I still get that warm feeling in my heart, no matter how old I get, when I can still make my mummy happy by my decisions!

Before we left for her birthday party we got a few good shots in on the porch:

Here's the birthday girl:

Here's the birthday girl and her favorite Nanny!
(shhh no one tell her she has only one Nanny!, the rest are Grandmas!)

Big C, Baby C and Nanny

Then Baby C had to greet her guests and
she has a new bff (mom that's best friend forever):

Baby C's guests strolled in one by one
and we had the hardest time taking a group shot:

I made the cutest little birthday bags for Baby C to hand out but
of course she wanted no part of handing them out,
instead she was more concerned with which bag was hers,
thank god I made one for her!

Oh lordie I forgot to show a picture of the Messy Merriment and there I was harping on about it!!

And here is Baby C waiting for someone, anyone to cut her cake!

Don't worry I'm not going to bore anyone with every single picture...mom here's the rest of the pics!
