So I thought I was done with the whole Walmart saga but then
Sprinkles House told me to google
Debbie Shank and not only did I resurrect my dim feelings of Walmart but I garnered even more feelings and learnt two things "money is the root of all evil" and "you should always read the fine print"
walmart is crushing the independent business person
ReplyDeletei hate that place even more now... evil evil evil...
ReplyDeleteExactly why I don't put fine print on my blog.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, I agree with you - and with torrance.
I've got a book I should send you ... if I can find it. It's all about the ugly side of Wal-Mart.
ReplyDeleteActaully, it's really "the 'love of' money is the root of all evil!"
ReplyDeleteI can't agree more. Its so sad to see how Walmart has, in effect, destroyed smaller communities.
WOW! Once again, this is pretty deep! It's amazing to me that enough is NEVER enough...even for those (individuals and businesses), that seemingly have it all already!
ReplyDeleteSuch a shame that this lady and her family will have to be burdend by this for the rest of their lives...hers at least.
My "weaning" off of the convenience of our Walmart is currently underway :-). I think this story alone is gonna make it a little easier for me. Thanks for sharing.
On another note, you've been "tagged", check out my blog! ;)
Target gets my money...occasionally KMart but never Wally World (as my brother calls it. They are leaving empty a HUGE building 3 miles from here to build another HUGE building less that a half mile from that first one. Taking with them another few acres of trees and wildlife refuge. The public fought them for 2 years but the township finally bowed to their demands. Yuck.
ReplyDeleteThanks for all of this...
Love
Sue
Ahhh! Another brick in the wall of why I HATE Wal-Mart and refuse to spend one red cent there.
