She finally nailed that during freestyle you have to do your arms and legs together and you go much faster then just your arms or just your legs!!:
Her arms are very sloppy during backstroke but she's still able to do the entire length of the pool and for her age I'm just surprised that she's able to do backstroke to begin with!:
I'm so proud of her, she has just two more medals to get silver and gold and then she's done, for silver she has to do the test where you swim with your clothes on.
I remember doing the swim with your clothes test but I was sooo much older than she is. I think I was about 9 so she's got 5 years on me!
Someone suggested I bring her in snow suit and snow boots for the test to make sure she's really competent, I thought that was hilarious!!
I'll let her decide if she wants to continue with swim class after she gets the last two medals after that it's just varsity swim anyway. I'm imagining there has to be a minimum age for varsity swim though.
Congratulations to Baby C! That is wonderful and such an important thing to learn as well (swimming).
ReplyDeleteThat's great! Good job Baby C!
ReplyDeleteshe is so cute! congratulations!
ReplyDeleteI love all of my adopted blog grandbabies. Baby C has been a favorite and I've followed her swimming since her very first lesson. Her parents enrolled her so she would be safe if she fell in a pool. Little did they know they might end up with an olympic champion swimmer. Wow, you've come a long way Baby C! Congratulations on your medal.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Baby C. She did a great job. I remember when you first started her in the class. Time flies so fast.
ReplyDeleteWTG on the medals!
ReplyDeleteI am unable to see the video at the moment but I sit here laughing at the fact that I didn't learn how to swim until I was around 9 or 10 years old.
ReplyDeleteAnd your child is already being awarded medals.
Congrats!!!! What a great little swimmer. My son is in lessons now and I definitely wish I got him started earlier! How adorable!!
