- I hate politics in all forms, government politics and office politics. I think I hate it because I've yet found a system that actually works and isn't corrupt. When I turn on NPR and they start on about the Tea Party or the Elections I try to listen, get quickly bored and turn it off. I feel as if politics is so corrupt that my partaking an interest will merely frustrate me an accomplish nothing!!! I know they say "If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem" and I do feel guilty knowing that I'm obviously part of the problem, but I just can't bang my head against a wall like that, "It Hurts".
- On items 5-9 of Chrissy's "Ten on Tuesday" she's talking directly to me, no one else, but me...I can feel it...and I feel guilty all over again.
- I have to take my aunt to my grandmothers grave this Sunday of all days. My mother doesn't want me to take her, she says talking to dead people is inciting the devil to respond or something like that, like I could say no to my aunt though?
- I just invited a friend over for dinner Friday night. I suggested that we could either eat dinner at my house or go to the local diner, which is a really good diner, not regular diner food. But I intimated that we'll miss out on our customary glass of wine with dinner as they don't serve wine. My friend intimated back that she'll just hide a bottle in her big mama purse and get all "ghetto undercover"!! I'm thankful for the word "intimate" and hope we BOTH have the same definition.
- I've heard through the grapevines that our companies annual childrens Halloween parade has been called OFF this year due to complaints from some of the employees who are getting laid off. I mentioned them all before in another post, and I'm still trying to figure out what a childs joy has to do with their pain. I'm praying like any other gossip in my company that it's a case of "Chinese Whispers" (Telephone for you Americans) and that it totally got mangled by the time it got to me.
- I finally hit the "Proceed to Checkout" button on my Amazon Cart on the books I mentioned from this post. I'm hoping they become part of the solution and not part of a bigger problem, where by, I'm shedding too much light on the subject, time will tell.On the ride in today, out of the blue, Baby C told me that "A lot of people in this world are brown". She stopped at that, so I figure her mind is making progress.
- Last week Baby C hauled in to Day Care, Big C's GPS for the "Week of the Letter G" and proudly showed the entire class the "Fastest Route HOME". I told her that her small "Guitar" would be just as good for show and tell but she's stubborn like her parents (I refuse to say like her mother) and she insisted. I'm literally terrified of what she'll think up for this weeks show and tell, only bad things come to mind for the "Week of the Letter H", a mere "Hat" will be too blase for her, I just know it!!
- I can't play my ipod in my car unless I hook up the FM transmitter doo hickie thing into the cigarette lighter because my car is so old and I don't have an external auxiliary out. That FM Transmitter drives me batty, hence why I probably listen to far too much NPR, but my little Honda CRV was a college graduation gift from my mother and although it has over 150K miles on it, it still purrs like a cat and it knows that it's mommy will cry if she has to get a new car and make car payments. I've heard a Honda treated well can go way over 200K miles.
- Last night I found myself falling asleep to "The Event" and then "Hawaii Five-O". It makes me sad to realize that I'm honestly getting up there in age when I dare say "What happened to all the good shows?" It seems like a show maybe lives a season now a days and then... poof...it's gone.
- I hate it that when you shave/bikini wax (whatever you want to call it) and your pee goes every where! YES I know that's TMI but hey I hardly have any men read this thing and I know the rest of you know what I'm talking about. Yeah maybe this "Ten on Tuesday" isn't right for me too much freedom not enough editorial restrictions!! I'll try something else next Tuesday! LOL

1. Me too! It's frustrating to be so interested in something so evil! I'm only interested b/c it truly affects each one of us so personally.
ReplyDelete2. I promise I'm not. :) It's mostly notes to self.
3. Yeah a graveyard on Halloween would freak me out.
4. That is hilarious! I always use words like that and wonder if my intent came across as intended.
5. Oh, man! That stinks.
6. Red & yellow, Black & white, they are precious in His sight...I sing that to my kids all the time. I hope they know it's more than just a song.
7. LOL!
8. Same here! Well, almost. Our van is making all kinds of noises, has over 130K, is a lil touchy with the AC. But I am praying it will make it til it's paid for and then some. Like 3 more years some.
9. I agree. Modern Family and Teen Moms is all I watch. :)
10. No comment on this one. LOL!
OMGosh I just seriously laughed out loud at #10!! It's good that someone can say it!
ReplyDelete9. yeah, I used to watch so much, and now it's not much at all...well except on the CW! I know, LAME!
8. yep, same situation here too
7. haha! that is funny...sounds like she's as tech savvy as you!
6. oh i love what Chrissy said here!
5. for reals?! oh that just sucks. I hope it isn't true.
4. LOL!!
3. you can't say no!
2. Nu-uh! she said it to me! LOL!
1. well, I do like it but it is so overwhelming and if I think too much about it, I get mad!
1. Yes I think they're all in for what they can get! What naffs me off is that most them already have a lot.
ReplyDelete3. Not sure visiting the cemetary can be construed as inciting the devil! A bit weird that one.
8. A few years ago I had an old BMW which didn't even have a radio. The insurance companies used to laugh at my response when they asked what kind of CD player I had. I think it was during that period I started talking to myself on the way to work. If the car's not broken don't fix it! You'll only cry.
9. Don't know these shows!
10. Too much information flower!
#10 -- What can we say? You "tell it like it is". LOL
ReplyDeleteHilarious @ number 10. I have no idea how that becomes the case, but then again, I do have an idea. Lol.
ReplyDelete4. Sounds like two different definitions, if you ask me. Too funny.
1. Politics held me in spirit during Barack Obama's race towards The White House. Before then, I can't really say that I was into political matters. Probably will remain the same after Obama leaves office.
