Pictures speak a thousand words

A friend of mine posted on my facebook wall:
"Viewing some of her pics convinces me to enjoy every moment of our children's lives! You are such a good example of this. Thanks!"
The short and sweet statement made me proud. There are always moments when life is just so busy, a never ending roller coaster and I feel as if I'm doing a disservice to Baby C.

Moments where I swear if I just slowed down for a minute I'd be able to watch her smile, watch her play, or just listen to her laugh a little more.

But I know it all works out in the end, it has to work out in the end.

She'll remember the first time she picked out the family Christmas tree:

She'll remember the first time she went to the pottery shop with mommy, to carefully paint a trinket box for her Grandma (Nanny)

How she had to prep the clay before painting,

How she had to concentrate and paint slowly, very slowly.

and the fun she had learning about the glazing process and the kiln,

and the anticipation of waiting for masterpiece to be ready.

I know no matter how busy life gets, it's the little things she'll remember!

  3. This "Nanny" would truly adore such a wonderful gift.

In the 1970's my children (5 & 6) and I participated in a study by OSU on the non-traditional family. It was determined that my children were more stable than many from two parent families because they may not have had a lot of my time each day, but the time they did have was filled with my love for them and they knew it. Quality is much better than quantity and you certainly show that with Baby C.

  4. Very nice photos! I just found your comment from November on my blog. Glad you popped over. Come back in the next day or two and enter the giveaway there.
You asked about the cake pops in my Halloween post. You can find info on them at Bakerella.
They are good, but I didn't expect them to be so good.
    BTW- like your blog name.
