What is love?

What does it mean to love someone?

And do you love your child differently than you love your spouse?

When I think of loving a child to me it means even if I was parched I've give them my last sip of water.

When I think of loving a spouse to me it means when they are gone, I just can't seem to function "properly" without them.

And how do you know when you're in love or when you love someone anyway?

  1. Oh you know love, it is a warm feeling sort of like getting peed on by your child!

  2. WHOA!!! This is DEEP! :-)

I think being in love (with a spouse) is simple. It's a matter of not only feeling NEEDED...but feeling WANTED. Your kids NEED you...simply because there are so many things they can't do for themselves. And we, as parents, know that we'd do ANYTHING for them, to meet their needs, because we love them. But to have your spouse WANT you is an entirely different feeling. It's LOVE!

So I guess it's kinda like you said. You can't "function properly" without the man you love. And for me, I love my man so much, why would I WANT to function properly without him. It's kinda cliche...in a "Jerry McGuire" kinda way, but Marque COMPLETES me.

I love my daughters because they are the only thing that's really MINE. I gave BIRTH to them...how could I NOT love them? There's NOTHING I wouldn't do to keep them safe.

I could go on...but I'll stop here :-). Great question!!
