So here we are more than two months have passed...and Courtney is just a darling.....and spoilt already. I really am trying to not spoil her...but the hardest challenge is not picking her up when she cries. It's hard to figure out when she's old enough to know that she can't cry and get an IMMEDIATE response. And she's started crying real tears as well...so when I try and let her cry a little, when I get to her there are two wet patches on either side of where she was lying and I feel like the worst mother in the world!!
I just love that she had started voluntary smiling...though she still smiles involuntarily when she's sleeping which I love. It's really hard to get a picture of her smiling right now because she's so nosy/curious that the minute she sees the camera she stares for dear life and the smile is gone!!! LOL
She got her first vaccinations and I thought I would be a bundle of tears but she didn't really respond...she cried a little but was over it so quickly....I guess she's too young to know one pain from another...thank god.
SO I figured out she loves sitting on the dryer...only when it's on of course...but she does not like being on top of the washer when it is on...I guess the washer is just too much of a rollercoaster!!!
We wrapped daddies fathers day present in diapers...and Courtney wanted to show off her wrapping talents!!! She did remarkely well if I don't say so myself. Courtney picked out a video camera with a 30GB hard drive for daddy for his gift...I told her I couldn't afford it but she insisted and said she'd pay me back!! I won't hold my breathe!!!
She loves meeting new family...and loves being outside...I know she takes after her mother in terms of being outside...if I could choose I'd live outside!! Here she is soaking up the sun (not too much) with her Uncle Todd. He says holding her makes him want another child....hmm maybe I should have him hold her over night and see if he still sings the same tune in the morning!!!
I love some of the little big people clothes (as I call them) for little girls...you know the ones...not the items that make them look too grown and trashy, but a adult item just made with way less material!!! I found this little pleated skirt at the gap and a cotton shirt, I think she looks adorable in it. I also found this little denim skirt...who knew they made a denim skirt so small. I think it's really made out of the remanants of adult skirts and they still charge us!! LOL
Oh my goodness, look how big she's getting. She's absolutely ADORABLE!!!I too love little girl clothes. I'm STILL a junkie for them and my "baby" is 4.

I can't believe how much she's grown! She's so gorgeous! I just love all her little outfits, especially that jean skirt! I can't wait to be a Mom! Courtney is absolutely gorgeous!

Looking forward to new hairstyles (ha! ha! ha!) on my niece! Call me your first day back at work because I know you will be crying. It is hard but knowing you will see her later is worth it. Miss ya!
ReplyDeleteHow do you get anything done she is so adorable!! I would spend all day kissing her cheeks. With all of that hair she reminds me of my oldest daughter when she was a baby. I would dress her in the morning just to take her picture even if we weren't going anywhere. Too bad I wasn't scrapping then, because now I have a ton of pictures to catch up on.

I knew you were expecting, but didnt realize you'd had the baby already. And that's exactly what I wanted to know "so, when is that baby coming??" LOL!She is absolutely adorable.
