What a tradegy to loose ones life while trying to save another.
So I wonder to myself. Could I live without coal? I know it probably sounds like the most ignorant of questions, but I have no idea what I depend on coal for each day. I also know that it's not merely mined for residential purposes. But it still makes me ponder the essence of supply and demand and todays economy.
Did we even find out why that bridge collapsed yet? And yet life must go on.
Sidenote: The picture above is of a 10 year old girl whose father is one of the rescuers. Luckily he survived. Click Here
Its all so sad... my heart goes out to the familys.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great question you raise. What DO we need coal for in our everyday lives? Is it really worth risking these mens lives?
ReplyDeleteIt is all very sad...I almost hate looking at the news or reading the paper (on line). I'm ready for some GOOD news!!!
I have no idea what we use coal for either! you'd think we'd know, wouldn't we? I know it's an energy source, but for what? This news today just made me so sad. It seems like there has to be a better solution.
