I am so excited to see my godson for the first time ever this weekend.

He is here from England and even though he's 6 I've never met him. He said he wanted to see a basketball game...poor thing unless he wants to see WNBA he doesn't stand chance!

I went to Modell's Sports to get him a basketball jersey. I asked Big C which one I should get as I didn't know who was big and who wasn't. I know the names and know they are basketball players but not sure who is big to a 6 year old!!

The jerseys had a price tag of $60.00 and for some reason I still turned around to Big C and asked him if he wanted one as well...his eyes lite up like a kid at Christmas.

I'd wanted to get him a "just because" gift for a while now and mail it to him with a card saying he's the greatest dad and husband. I wanted to make him feel special, sometimes you overlook the most mundane things people do for you and it's nice to take the time out and let them know you might not notice but you still appreciate it.

Anyway I got up to the counter ready to ring up $120 worth of jerseys and the lady said "they are on sale for $30 each"!! Of course my jaw nearly hit the floor. I felt like I was stealing from them, two for the price of one. (Of course it's only now that I think about the fact that even at $30 they were still making a huge profit and at $60 they were raking me over the coals anyway!)

I thought to myself the only reason that this even happened was because, even though I didn't have $120 to spend on jerseys, I was still willing to do it in order to put a smile on both of their faces.

I see it as a thank in return from the man above.

I get to see my god son this Saturday I'm hoping to get a pic of the both of them wearing their jerseys and I'll add it to this post...because after all, what's a post without pictures!!!!!!
