Started weening Baby C off the pacifier at 15 months. She has gone to sleep twice at day care without it and last night was our first attempt.
She went to sleep quickly without it, but after about 5 minutes of snoring she woke up crying and arching her back all still with her eyes closed as if she was in pain. She did this twice for about 3 minutes each time then finally went to sleep and didn't wake up until the morning.
It is Big C's turn tonight to give her a bath and put her to bed...we'll see how good her fairs without the pacifier...knowing him he'll play her to sleep!!!
Also don't forget to print the pics of the Annapolis Navy Midshipmen...they came to the Nautical Mile for the weekend on their annual voyage and we got a good pic of all three of us on the boat.

Good luck on the pacifier weaning... thinking back 17 years ago... my daughter was 2 years old and still using a pacifier.. but only at night..lol. It was hard but had to wean her off before nursery school.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like she had a pretty good first night without her paci. Good luck Big C tonight. Hopefully after about 2-3 nights she'll be weaned.
ReplyDeleteYour daughter is absolutely gorgeous! I love her hair! My oldest was the hardest child in the world to wean off the pacifier, he used to go in the garbage and take them out....ewwww. ONce we were at Walmart and my mom and I looked at each other and said "Where did he get that pacifier, turns out he opened up a pack at the store...LOL
ReplyDeleteHi there! Thanks for stopping by and commenting. I almost didn't see you.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend!
she has the perfect puffs, gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteGood luck on getting her off of the pacifier, just be strong and don't give in.
ReplyDeleteAlso, that is a nice pic of you all on the boat.
Such a cutie in those glasses! I had such an awful time getting my daughter off a pacifier that I never even gave one to my son.
ReplyDeleteI love her little puffs! She's so cute!
ReplyDeleteWe weaned Jake of the "B" (as he called his pacifier) when he was 2. At about 18mths we said only at night and at nap time. and he did really well with that. When he turned 2 my dad got him a "big boy bed" so we said no more B. I think it was actually harder on ME than it was HIM! He asked for it, I said no he said "ok" and that was it. I felt horrible, but he was just fine! I'm sure baby C will be too!
been meaning to email, but my laptop is blocking netzero for some reason.
ReplyDeleteSo, I don't mind you passing along my blog to anybody! Totally cool with that.
ALSO, I just saw your comment asking about my daily something and how I was doing it! So easy. I'm just adding a frame in photoshop and adding text. That's it really. I take the photo down to like 85% in the layers drop down menu, just so you can see the text a little more clearly.
That's it! It's been fun, you should join in.
:)
OMG! She is adorable!!!!!! Good luck!
ReplyDeleteMy grandbabies are still struggling with pacifier issues, at the moment. My daughter called today. I think we see the light at the end of the tunnel! It's certainly been an up and down ride!
ReplyDeleteI love the photos of your beautiful family!
Thanks so much for stopping by the back porch!
Pat
Hope the weaning goes well... I love love love that picture of her in ehr shades too! Adorable! :)
ReplyDeleteNone of my three kids sucked a bottle or pacifier, so the only thing I can say is good luck. Your daughter's hair is gorgeous! Please tell me what you're putting on it and how you keep it healthy. I can definitely use the tips for my 11 month old baby girl. Thanks!
