Today the newsletter had the following teaser, and I thought they were some how talking about my child and not children in general:
The incessant chatter of a 4-year-old can be music to your ears, or — depending on your mood — can grate on you like bad Muzak. Sure, you're happy your child's language skills are growing, but must he demonstrate them every single minute? What you're hearing isn't showing off but a normal lack of self-control. Knowing when to talk — and when not to talk — is something your child still needs to learn.
haha! YEP I have one of those four year olds too LOL! sounds exactly like her!
ReplyDeleteHAHAHAHAHA!! Girl, I love this post!! Word of caution, the constant chatter keeps going well past 4! :)
ReplyDeleteP.S. She is rocking that hair girl and just look at that A-T-T-I-T-U-D-E!! :)
Oh my goodness so true! When my niece and nephew stay over (aged 3 and 5) they don't stop. And the LOVE talking over one another, it's hard to keep up two conversations that are going on at the same time. Kids are funny. But whilst they might talk a lot, they also listen a lot. Sometimes you don't even realise it until the next day they're telling someone else everything you said! lol! Now I have to watch what I say around them xx
ReplyDeleteI don't mean to discourage you, but we have eight grandchidren ages 9 to 21 and none of them have learned when to stop talking yet:)
