Thirty on Thursday

"Thirty on Thursday" yeah right, me do 30 on Thursday you'd have to be out of your mind, I'd rather just ramble. I'm good at rambling.

1. I still have to call for a yellow school bus to come get Baby C as we finally picked kindergarten, now it's up them to listen to her incessant talk. I'm sure a teachers threshold is way higher than mine right?!
   
   
2. We're planning on going to CoCo Key Water Resort with friends soon. I was really interested in Great Wolf Lodge but our friends have been before so I figured why not give it a whirl. I'm actually excited to a few days off, if you can call it off....let the "To Do" list begin...#1. Make a list...!!
   
   
3. I find it fascinating how the turn of events in Egypt have given hope to others to protest and speak out on what they believe in. I wonder if this approach would work in my house?!
   
   
4. I'm thinking about setting up an appointment for an acupuncturist for Big C, I feel like we've tried so many other conventional approaches, and now the poor mans limping like world class soccer player!!! I watched the Veria: Healthy Living Channel and saw a show about a woman who had a brain tumor and Chinese medicine finally gave her her life back. Now I just need to find a recommendation.
   
   
5. I'm still shocked by news segment on NPR about a Native American Man who was shot and killed by police after crossing the street carrying a knife and a piece of wood. The poor man was a wood carver and hard of hearing. What troubled me the most was the aspect of not prosecuting police for killing people when they're using their judgment on upholding the law. Personally I think that's where the problem lies, the fact that often police KNOW they will not be held accountable. I mean a knife versus a gun? Couldn't it have been handle differently???
   
   
6. I keep craving Oreo cookies, which is rare. When I first came to this country I couldn't stand them, boy do I wish that was still the issue. I finally gave into my craving and bought a bag, then I spent the week desperately trying to finish them so there wouldn't be any left in the house. Big C and Baby C aren't crazy over them so I had no help in eating them. Poor me!
   
   
7. I'd like to bake some Shortbread Cookies to replace the Oreos and therefore have control over the sugar levels. What's the difference in cooking with Butter vs Shortening, does one make the cookie stay softer longer? And what's rice flour?
   
   
8. Survivor started last night, and immediately I wanted them to get rid of someone and start the entire show over again. :0(
   
   
9. At work I keep getting people call me asking for the Claims Court. I finally asked a woman where she got the number from and she said 411. I googled 411 and Claims Court and finally found the number, it's exactly my phone number except for on digit that's a 2 but people keep misdialing 6. I think I might call the Claims Court and ask them to change their number, I don't think it would be unreasonable right?
   
   
10. I recently moved all my photos from Photobucket to Goolge Picasa Ablums, I figured how could you go wrong with $5 for a year for 20GB, of course all of my earlier blogger posts are going to have missing pictures, but it seems Google is intent on ruling the world, so I've fallen victim to the hype.  I'm also in love with pinterest but getting an invite seems as hard as finding Willy Wonkers Golden Ticket!! LOL
