Ten on Tuesday

    Cousins
  1. I made pilgrims hats for Baby C's "Thanksgiving Brunch" at school, some leaned a little but at least Big C knew what they were when I showed him, and Baby C said her class LOVED them and that her mommy should be a baker. If they only knew they were "no-bake pilgrim hats".

  2. We made a spontaneous last minute decision to spend Thanksgiving in Fairfax, Virginia with Big C's family this year. We left Wednesday around 3pm and scarily hit NO traffic, I mean NONE. There were times along the journey we were the only car on the road, not one car behind or in front of us. Baby C had a wonderful time getting to know all her cousins. She formed a love hate relationship with Juicy the dog, she loved to play with him...but only from a distance!

  3. I visited a website yesterday and the site was so disgusting and outdated I literally wanted to email the owner and offer them a free redesign. I felt as if I wanted to do my good Samaritan work and try and save one website at a time! LOL

  4. I found out a few days ago that some of the people getting laid off have no alternative but COBRA for health insurance. Luckily I'm on Big C's insurance so it's one less worry for me. I'd always heard rumors about cobra being expensive but by the grace of god it never effected me. I heard one woman say that to cover her family of 4 it will cost her $2200 a MONTH! I keep thinking to myself, "If she had that much discretionary income laying around to afford that much a month she wouldn't have to work in the first place!". I know it's been said before but the cost of health insurance in America is really saddening.

  5. Big C and I went on a covert mission on Black Friday while we were in Virginia! I walked with Baby C around Toys R Us and asked her to point out the things she wanted to put on her list for Santa. As we walked the aisles and she pointed to this and that, I text Big C the name of the toy and the aisle it was in. He then came along behind us and without her seeing him he slipped said items in his cart. He then purchased them and hid them in the back of the car and then rejoined us perusing the aisles of the toy store. Of course we didn't buy her everything that she pointed to but we did score big getting the Justin Beiber Tour bus WITH BONUS doll for $79 and it's now retailing for $124.99. So in all I think we did good. And as we know all men are merely boys, Big C scored on something that he wanted from Santa. A PlayStation motion senor thingy that came with some gun looking thing and two games. We managed to get a bundle for $120 retail value was $240. Me I just came home with an ATG Arts and Craft gun normally retailing for $40 but found on sale for $19.99, of course now I see it on Amazon for $17 but still ! LOL

  6. I actually won something. I don't recall the last time I won ANYTHING. But look what Fabulous goodies I won from "MinDog & Metch @ Shitty Fabulous Lives" Thank you so much MinDog and Metch I LOVE all of them!!!
  7. Hand knitted scarf worn immediately
    Cool tshirt
Canvas bag that I'm using now!
  8. Does anyone else talk to themselves and the other drivers around them when driving? I find myself constantly talking to people in other cars.

If there's traffic and I let one person in front of me and another car tries to squeeze in as well, I always  say out loud "Oh no sorry just one car limit today, sorry!".

Or if I'm stuck in traffic and there's a car trying to cut ACROSS the traffic to the other lane, I usually always stop to let them across and often times the lane next to me WON'T stop and let them across and I always say "But why be so mean? It's not as if you're going anywhere in this traffic!"

My favorite line is usually to that car that's doing 20mph in the fast lane. I move over to the right lane to get around them and as I go around I say "No no no, don't you worry yourself one bit, I'll just go around you, not to worry!"

  9. I have many blogs that I need to do catch up on and I'm actually looking forward to reading people Thanksgiving adventures.

  10. It's time to figure Dinners for December, having a board on pinterest for Dinner This Month really and truly helped during November, it took all the guess work out of dinner each night and I just loved having a single place of reference each week.

  11. Dr. Nancy's assumptions on why parents are opting out of vaccines frustrated me as I listened to her this morning. I wish she'd explored BOTH sides of the story as opposed to just one.

  1. Oh yeah I talk to myself and other drivers when I'm driving but I'm definitely not as polite as you are!

Great list! And congratulations on being a winner!

  2. aw your pilgrim hats are cute!
    wow, no traffic?!
COBRA is VERY expensive. My poor dad had to deal with them last year and for 2 months it cost him 2,000..JUST for himself!
I have done that so many times when my kids were little...buying things right under their noses. they would be so suspicious now!
I always talk to myself and other drivers. My kids do it too!
I need to look at your dinner board. maybe I'll get some good ideas :)
Dr. Nancy---dang, she sure is black and white isn't she? I feel like she definitely didn't dive into WHY people are choosing not to vaccinate other than just bucking the system, you know?

  8. Glad you liked the stuff!

I'm making those potato skins you posted a few days ago for dinner tomorrow. I can't wait because they look so good.

Texting has it's merits. That was a great shopping maneuver between you and Big C.

Hope your week is going well.
