Why doesn't she wash her hands?

There's a women at my job who I often seem to meet in the toilet. I don't know who she is or what department she works in, all I know about her is that she NEVER washes her hands before she leaves the toilet.

I thought the first time it was maybe just oversight and her mind was else where.
The second time I thought she might be allergic to the soap they provide.
The third time I thought well maybe she has really really dry skin and the constant washing irritates her skin and she goes back to her desk and uses a bacterial gel or something!! LOL

Big C says I'm always making excuses for people as I always want to make them better than they really are....he says she's just plain nasty and that's all there is to it.

I still think she's probably allergic to the soap...I can't think of any other reason she'd not wash.

I have no idea what I'd do if she came over to speak to Courtney and touched her hands or face like many people do!!! I think I'd have to tell her that I didn't want her to catch Courtney's cold or something!!! LOL

What would you do?

  1. hmmm what to say to that?

She very well COULD be allergic, but I know they make portable soap (look like those little facial blotting papers, I know because I bought one by mistake once and ended up with instant soap!) So she could buy that...

Also there's the idea of putting lotion on after, and I know because I have terribly dry skin, especially in the winter.

Maybe you could really noncholantly ask her one day: "Oh, "Sally," I notice that you never wash your hands does the soap make your skin dry?"

She also could be lazy, and if so I would avoid her- no one wants to catch those kind of potty cooties ; (

  2. I don't even know her name...I don't think I'd have the guts to say anything to her! LOL

But yes if our paths do collide I will be wary if she hands me a piece of paper.

  3. Hey:
only reason I picked it is because it is still free. I am not trying to pay on purpose just yet. So, I am trying it out for the daily blog and keeping my blogger for my photostuff. I may end up moving to typepad, but I can wait.

  4. She could be allergic to the soap, but if she is I would hope that she would bring soap with her. After all, what about hygiene? Anyway, I wouldn't doubt that she may be a person who just doesn't wash her hands. I hope not because she's putting all her co-workers and anyone else that she's around at risk of being sick.

  5. I saw someone like that once at a previous job... she must've caught me staring... so she actually explained to me that she did in fact have a reaction to the soap there, and so went back to her desk each time and used
purell. Wonder if it's the same person? LOL
