I'm missing the boat or something

I think either I didn't get a ticket for the next boat leaving town or I never knew there was a boat....

If you're lost it was my stupid metaphor for the fact that everyone and their grandma seems to be making quilts and I'm not!!!

I'm not a follower I'm really not...but all these quilts look sooo darn good and if I read just one more blog about quilts I swear I'm going to be convinced to hurry up and finish my 1500 piece jigsaw puzzle and start quilting:

I swear the list really felt like everyone and their grandma when I first started this post, but then I went hunted for links and came up short....I'm sure more will come to me as roam around blog land.

Maybe quilting would be a perfect hobby to whittle away the hours while Big C is gone.

  1. Oh my gosh, my quilt does NOT belong in that list. Lisa's quilt is a-mazing. And Adrienne and Kim actually know what they're doing.

It is quite addicting and I plan to keep screwing up perfectly good fabric until I know what I'm doing. I look at it like fabric scrapbook paper, how could I not at least try??

  2. Crumbs there are some fabulous quilts out there on those sites. I spent ages looking at websites with quilts and I still follow a few blogs regularly. Desperate for inspiration. I'm still gathering up the various fabrics to make a pink quilt for my granddaughter.

Think I might just make hexagons and then if I don't hack it with the numbers needed for a single bed quilt I'll make one for Lauren's dolly's pram!

Now, to hand sew or machine? That is the question!

  4. Oh I LOVE handmade quilts and luckily I have one made by my Aunt Rhelda. I'm not sewer nor quilter that's for sure. The craft gene skipped me entirely

  5. Oooo! More quilting links. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I'm working on a quilt but I can't blog about it yet because it's a gift. After it's done I'm going to start one for me and then... but I mustn't get ahead of myself.
