- My salad for lunch is under my desk. I wonder how many people would be grossed out if they saw it. I HATE cold food!!! I only like room temperature food or hot of course. I'll leave a yogurt out to warm up and ice cream out to melt around the edges before I eat it!
- I keep getting emails from American Express letting me know I qualify for a platinum card...I keep looking at the annual fee of $700 and wondering what crack pipe are they smoking from.
- I was out from work on Monday and Tuesday because Baby C had to go to the doctor Monday only to find out she had pink eye and had to stay out Tuesday as well. I was PISSED beyond belief that she caught it. Two other kids in the class beneath her had it but I was convinced she wouldn't get it. It goes around the day care every year like Santa baring gifts. But every year she stave off any germ making it's rounds. The reason I was PISSED, BITTER and MADE AT ALL OF DAY CARE, was because at lunch when we have to go and pick them up to feed them lunch i'm the ONLY parent that takes my child BACK into the class room to wash her hands!
I mean come on, they are ABOUT to go and eat lunch that means the HAND is going to the MOUTH.....do you know where your child's hands have been!!!!
It's a silent pet peeve that I have as I've never voiced my opinions to any of the parents, point blank asking them, why didn't they wash their child's hands before eating!! I figured I'd loose a few "chatting mommy lets be friends" that way!! But every day my blood boils inside...not literally but I added it for dramatic effect.
But anyhoo, I'm still pissed that she's the only one whose hands get washed and she got pink eye!!!
- The drops that I had to get for Baby C cost me a whopping $1.50 I wonder how much it would have cost without insurance??? I'll have to google it I'm so curious.
- The two days I was out two more people got laid off...I feel like it's getting closer and closer.
- And last and by no means least.....Michael Phelps better watch out...she's coming for you! I think it's a crappy dive, but for a three year old I think her dive was pretty good! Of course only I as the mother could say that, all the other parents around me were in awe and had just one said something negative, I don't know what I might have done!!! But hey their kids are still trying to battle the fear of the water going over their face so I doubt anyone would have commented anything but encouragement.
- I just recently realized that even though she might be working on her next dive, Baby C can't say "th". When I ask her to say "bath", she says "baatts", when I ask her to say "math" she say "maatts".

Ramblings
Baby C and I have another birthday party to go to after work today, once again it's five minutes from the job so it's not like it's out of the way. I'm sure they'll feed us pizza and cup cakes so at least I won't have to worry about dinner tonight. I'm wondering how long Baby C's birthday outfit will last throughout the day, one slip down the slide and I foresee the tutu being ripped off but it's no big deal to me. I'm not one of those parents that send their kids to day care and expects them to come home clean!

That "th" sound is tricky. Some of my ESL learners have a bit of trouble with that one. It's also difficult when you've lost your front teeth. It'll come to her. :-)
ReplyDeleteOur doctor used to give us a bottle of those antibiotic drops to keep around. I guess he figured if one of mine got pink eye they all would!
ReplyDeleteHow's your husband enjoying Buffalo? It is really not a bad town, though it gets a bad rap.
Take care of yourself and try not to worry.
God bless,
Terri
I am like you, don't expect her to come home clean from School!!!!
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean - I realized recently someone close to me doesn't wash their hands after going to the, er, bathroom. Just rinses them. GROSS!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh and last but NOT least - could she be any freakin' CUTER in that pink/brown combo! Love It~
ReplyDeleteand... to answer your tutu question, she removed it at the Pecan Festival when it was time to ride the carnival rides and it didnt' make it back out of the bag again but she made the rounds in it and looked cute!
I would be pissed that my child was the only one who got pink eye.
ReplyDeleteBTW...I can't view the video. :(
aw, american express keeps trying to pass me that same pipe... no thanks! ;)
ReplyDeleteI hate not being able see the video of Baby C's magnificent dive. About the pink eye -- you need to take aside the director of the day care and ask the director to suggest to the parents that they take their children to wash hands before lunch. It is not going to be long before you will have to stop referring to her as "Baby" C. She's growing into such a beautiful young girl.
ReplyDeleteThat's an awesome dive. She'll be doing lap races in no time. Thanks for stopping by, it's nice to see you guys are doing well. Baby C is getting so big :)
