So with that said I need to ask for your creative juices!!!
Baby C has about 7 other infants in her day care room and I want to do/make/create something for each of them for Christmas....oh and I can't forget Margie and Lisa the two adult staff.
For Halloween I bought the cutest Halloween tins with feet from Target and stuffed each one with edible goodies. This was quite a challenge to find things that small infants can eat as many are about to start solids or have only JUST begun solids. But it was fun none the less and everyone loved them...especially Margie and Lisa, as Lisa LOVES candy so she got a big bag of sour patch candy in hers tin and Margie likes to nibble on chocolate every once in a while so I got her peanut m&ms which she breaks out and sucks on about once a week.
Sophia is 4 months old and in Baby C's room and her mother said she's going to order those things that hang over the door knob and have each childs name printed on them. Kind of like those "Do Not Disturb" cards that they provide at hotels.
I think this is an neat idea and I can't wait to see them.
So I need help/suggestions/ideas of what I could do....all ideas are welcome from the smallest to the largest!
Thanks so much in advance :0)
Girl, i could hardly read your most recent post with that sexy Robin Thicke playing in background!
ReplyDeleteANYWAY...the only thing I can think of as gifts are mini photo albums. You can do the kind that have the pages already decorated and all the parents/teachers will have to do is add pictures. You can even add each childs name on the front. Just a thought.
Now, back to Robin for a second. After hearing this song yesterday, i was on Limewire until almost midnight downloading the entire album (well, except for 3 of the songs). And get this, i even put Lost Without You as my ring tone on my cell phone! LOL
What about a little pillow with a photo of the whole class on it, or just that child? You would get iron on transfer paper and print them, then iron it onto pillow fabric. Babies love pillows, especially if you put silky ribbon on them. Oh, guess it would help to know if you sew?LOL...maybe just a cute picture frame that is "chewable" or "drool-proof" ??? :) Let us know what you decide...
ReplyDeleteOMG those are two excellent ideas....the pillow might be easier to make for 7 kids and two adults in the short space of time...but the mini albums would be so neat for when they graduate up to the next room...the toddler room!!
ReplyDeleteThank you guys!!
I would say a ribbon blanket for each child. It would be very inexpensive to get Christmas themed fleece and you probably have tons of red and green ribbon. Sew them bad boys up in a juffy and they would love them! Your so sweet. You are always thinking of the other person. You generous personality is so beautiful and contagious! Good Luck! -Karla
ReplyDeleteRobin Thicke is soooooo sexy girl! He looks alot like his dad Alan Thicke (Jason Seaver, Growing pains). You are so sweet, always doing something for others. Dana
ReplyDeleteawww, it melts my heart, she is adorable
ReplyDeleteI love the pillow idea previously suggested. Another idea are those miniature tote bags that are beige and you can use bubble paint and markers to draw on them. I did one for Sade two years ago because she always wanted to carry her own bag and it was too heavy. This allows kids to carry one toy or doll in it and one diaper and feel like a big kid. You may want to do this next year when M is walking! Sorry I got ahead of myself.
