To "He double hockey" sticks with Babies R Us

I wanted to take Baby C to Babies R Us to get some photos done for Thanksgiving/Christmas.

I went online and found the closest one, got the phone number and on the drive home from work I called to find out what time they closed. The women who FINALLY answered said they closed at 9:3Opm!!! I did a little celebration dance in my seat as I was driving!!

I rushed home, fed and bathed baby C, dressed her and managed to get to Babies R Us before 7PM!!! (I know that was fast right especialy as I leave work at 5PM! LOL)

When we got there, I was about to get baby C out of her car seat and priss her up, fix her hair when all of a sudden the women at the coutner said that they were done for the day!!!! WTH???

I wanted to get mad, but the girl looked young and ignorant and not in power enough to do anything about her companies lack of professionalis and poor customer service. I realized this required a pen to paper and strongly worded letter kind of action!!!!

But before we left I let her know how disatisfied I was and that I had JUST called to find out what time they closed and that they should have explained when I called that they didn't plan on working until 9:30PM!!!!

Big C was fuming as we walked out, talking about "he hopes the Babies R Us burns down and yada, yada, yada!". I thought hoping the Babies R Us burns down was a little harsh...but you know when a man goes off on a rant you're not supposed to correct him...otherwise he'll turn around and start yelling at you!!!

So I told Big C, to let it all out and that EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON...I tell him this all the time. Sometimes he's cool with it...sometimes he tells me to stick it where the sun don't shine and stop being so positive about it!! LOL. He makes me laugh, as I know he doesn't meant it...it's just NOT what he wants to hear right then and there.

Me...I see no need in getting "that" mad about it, as I know God always has a plan even if he doesn't make his plan evident at the time.

So my little baby was all dressed up and no where to go and I am now on the hunt for a place for her to have pictures taken.

So on my drive to work this morning it dawned on me...there are sooooooooo many scrappers that do photography as well. I should definitely be able to find SOMEONE in the New York metro area who I can beg and plead with to take a picture of my baby right?

There are only two names that I can think of off the top of my head, so I'm off to see how close they live....

So until next time.......

  1. Oh my gosh, I would have been soooo mad!!!! Hubby and I are so opposite you guys. I would have been sooooo mad, and yeah he would have been vexed but probably using all of his energy to calm me down, LOL. So sorry Baby C got all dressed up and had no where to go. She's such the little cutey.

  2. She looks so cute! Next time, get some black velvet or black fleece, put it over the back of the sofa or a large chair, sit the chair and baby next to a window with good lighting and zoom in really close. Voila, portraits at home. Email me if you want to know how to set up a garage shoot that gets even better lighting.

  4. I am so sorry about all that work and no photo shoot! We did that once, when DS was three months old...after a little spat, waiting an hour to see the proofs and finding out they exposed the negatives... we were done with professional pics!!!LOL.

  5. Oh man, that is SO frustrating!!
You'll get much better pics anyway using a personal photographer, and not a store!
Hope you had a great Thanksgiving!!

  6. Alright, I'm feeling your pain on this one. I absolutely HATE when crap like this happens. But if it makes you feel any better, it happens to the best of us! I must say though, that the picture you have here of Miss Courtney, is cute enough!
    Sorry you had that experience!!
