Well for me it's Ryvita. I was at Ikea getting curtains rods for the guest room, and as usual on the way out, Big C wanted an ice cream yogurt thing and I wanted THREE king size bars of chocolate. Yes I said THREE darn it. I HAVE to get a few bars at a time as I hate American chocolate...for those of you that are not from America or have tried chocolate from another country I KNOW you KNOW what I mean.
So anyway I'm about to pay and out of the corner of my eye I see an entire shelf of Ryvita....I jump out of the line grab two packs and jump back in. (Don't you hate people that do that!!!).
The pack of Ryvita sat at home for a few days and then this morning I made lunch for Big C and myself . I cut up some home made lemon chicken left over from the weekend, added a little mayo, some onions and a dash of vinegar and pepper and the end result a chicken salad. I packed some Ryvita to go with my chicken salad and as I type, I'm sitting here crunching away wondering if my crunching is bothering those around me. But as I crunch I'm oooooh and ahhhing the yummy goodness of RYVITA!!! I put Big C's on some regular bread...he'd call me up with all kind of explitives if I dared put his on a piece of Ryvita...he works outside, so when it's time to eat...it's time to eat...not time to pick on a salad or something!! LOL
I just love how it taste...yet I know it doesn't have THAT much of a taste. But it's the simple kind of not really there taste of it that I love....kind of like a plain baked potato with just a tad of salt and butter....you know how you finally get to taste the real potato instead of it being ladened with sour cream and cheese!!! You have to know what I mean right?
For those of you who haven't tried Ryvita...hmmm...how would I describe it...it's like small pieces of multi grain bread toasted until it's really really crisp. Just imagine that topped with a little chicken salad!! Oh to die for.
For those of you who have tried it...isn't it sooooo yummy!!!
LOL I can just feel how much you are enjoying them!!! I will have to try it ASAP!!!! I am convinced!
ReplyDeleteI've never seen or tried these, interesting...
ReplyDeleteDoes not sound good to me but glad to know you are enjoying it. The only thing that comes close to this much oohh and aahhh is Strawberry Cheesecake Ice Cream after not having it for 3 months or more. Now that's yummy!
ReplyDeleteYeah, yeah Kansas Queen but, I can eat Ryvita every day and not worry about the calories!!! LOL
ReplyDeleteGirl, you are too much. Reading your blog always makes me laugh. Chocolate...can it taste bad in ANY country??? I think not! LOL
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.
LOL!!!!!!!!!! Girl you are too crazy!!! I don't know I might have to travel out of the country one day to get some of that good stuff!!! I love chocolate now as it is. TFS and being oh so silly

Okay, I was cracking up at your post. I can tell you really love you some Ryvita. I must agree with you on the chocolate. I lived in Germany for about 4 years as a child and no chocolate in the states can compare their chocolate. Do you have a Aldi in your area? You can get German Chocolate and chocolate from Switerland there.
ReplyDeleteThey are so good but hard to find here! We eat Wasa crisp or the large wheels of hardbread where you break off the size you want.
ReplyDeleteI like mine with tuna and olives!
